That’s funny. I’m actually trying to put a band together. Plus I’ve been in touch with a band that’s looking to add a singer and rhythm guitar player. I hope to audition in a few weeks. I’ll have to drive about an hour each way to the gigs but will make a few bucks and have some fun.

I doubt very seriously if I’ll ever sing any songs I’ve written. I’d be too embarrassed.

Yeah singing you own songs is tough especially when you're a crappy lead singer like me. Also tough to throw out your lyrics for public scrutiny. Got a few humorous songs I've written but how many times can you sing those when it's like telling the same joke to the same crowd over and over. Good luck on the band. I miss playing but hated setting up, playing for a bunch of drunks then tearing down and waking up with a hangover myself. But playing was a blast....I'll watch for you at the music awards
