Fox News host Bill O'Reilly responded again Friday to allegations made by "Mother Jones" that he lied about his coverage of the Falklands conflict in 1982.
Thursday night, shortly after the allegations were published, O'Reilly came out blasting, calling David Corn, one of the authors of the piece, a "pig" in an interview with The Sun.
Friday in his "Talking Points" memo, which was to be broadcast at 8 p.m. during his show, O'Reilly quoted from internal CBS memos that he says he found last night, which back his version of the coverage he provided for the network 33 years ago.
Earlier today, "Mother Jones" had emailed O'Reilly a list of questions about his coverage and asked him to answer those rather than attacking Corn.

What did they expect? O’Reilly’s methodology is punch-in-the-nose bloviation.
One of my clients actually SUBSCRIBES to that rag. I saw it on the coffee table and almost woofed my lunch.
I didn’t think ANYONE actually read that thing.
The only time I ever touched a copy I looked at the adds I the back. Some “artist” was trying to sell oil paintings of Reagan morphed with a chimp for $600. With so little understanding of the market no wonder these people are communists.
Billy O said what he said and he can get as mad and as blustery as he wants, he can go back and pull out everything he’s said and leave it at that as evidence.
I don’t really care, but it seems to me the left is just continuing in the line of trying to compare fallen Democrats’ acts with others who aren’t on their side to lessen the import of what their guy did. For him to bluster and moan about it just tells them they have something going they should keep going. He should just shut up and let them pull out the true words he spoke and leave it at that.
Exactly why they are trying to get attention by attacking O'Reilly.
A democrat tactic for decades. If you're about to be caught in a lie, come out screaming that the Republicans are liars. Then, at best, it becomes a "he said, she said" miasma of accusations with both sides seemingly tarred with the same brush.
"See, we're no worse than they are..."
It works like a charm with uneducated, uninformed, inbred, mouth-breathing losers like the vast bulk of the American voting public.
No...he should not “shut up”. Bush and his administration let the false narrative of “Bush lied, people died” go forward with no counter of the truth.
If you let anyone push a false narrative forward without rebuttal, it will become accepted truth.
Fight on.
But MotherF’er Jones deserves nothing less. Their diatribe fits Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals to a T....it fits most of the ‘rules’.
Not a big O’reilly fan, but he is right on this one.
So Mother Dingbat is demanding the O'Reilly answer their questions? Gee, maybe could have asked questions BEFORE they ran the story.
I'd tell Mother Dingbat to GFT.
Another good thing..., sorry, I can't think of anything else.
Billy O wants to be relevant. I think he is enjoying the attention...I would not be surprised if this escalates even more by Billy O. I’m not a fan of his.
Mother Goose and David Cornhole.
What a twerp this clown is...
Zurawick is loathsome.
“For him to bluster and moan about it just tells them they have something going they should keep going. He should just shut up and let them pull out the true words he spoke and leave it at that.”
My thoughts exactly.
He should’ve made a brief comment about the existence of Mother Jones’s allegations...then simply smiled into the camera and said “Prove it.”....and moved on to the next story/subject.
Mother Jones hit him in his Achilles heel...his ego.
Though not a big fan of BOR, one of his attributes I like is that he does get in people’s faces and makes a scene.
That’s the only way you’ll get your side of the story out to general public given that the news is dominated by the lame stream media.
Bill O Reilly is as dishonest as they come.
We at freerepublic have seen him close up.
The Brian Williams episode is really stinging the left. A lefty associate of mine fired back a week ago with an attack on Fox and the “no go zones” in Paris.
The Williams scandal makes them look so stupid for believing him that even they can see how stupid they look, and that takes a lot for a bunch of dumb narcissists who are blinded by their mist of phony greatness.
Yes it’s the “they did it, too” defense.
