Back when unleaded gasoline was the norm, there were intersections in New York City where the lead concentration on the ground was higher than would be expected near a lead smelter.

Well, that settles it; no more stopping at red lights, may as well die quickly.

Hey, life was better when everyone smoked cigarettes.
Not because cigarettes are good, but life was better when there were fewer do-gooders, people didn't worry about pollution concentrations at traffic lights. Sheesh!
You aren't going to live forever. So ... just live.

The study is false. There are more traffic lights than ever, and we’re living longer than ever. Inverse proportionality. It’s Obamacare that’s going to kill us.

One of the reasons I enjoyed roundabouts in the UK rural areas.
That said all intersections were roundabouts and not a mix of them. Further people knew how to drive them properly.
In the cities and a few large intersections some had lights. Had to otherwise you’d never be able to get in.

Regressive liberal government policy that promises to protect us will kill us much sooner than traffic lights.
To: dennisw
The crisis-industry has found so many things that are killing as that it’s a wonder that we’re not all dead.

I do love me some Daily Mail UK, but they have a tendency to publish some of the most crackpot medical/science stories around.
The comments sections after these kinds of articles bear that out.

Look at all the suckers who are unfortunate enough to drive on LA freeways most of their lives..
Imagine your on some 10 lane superslab for 2 or 3 hours per day, and all ya see is 10 million exhaust pipes spewing exhaust in your face..
Breath deep!!

And while ya got tens of millions sucking up tire tread particles and exhaust, the endless flights going into LAX are constantly dusting them with jet exhaust from above.
And big gov worry’s about Americans drinking too much soda.
