Play your game if you want. I believe, and will argue in any serious discussion of public policy the first thing that needs to be done is wheel that whole dumpster fire to the curb.

Once again, I have to quote Leon Trotsky on this:

"You might not be interested in War, but War is certainly interested in you."

Marijuana is just the "foot in the door" drug.

The foot of a legal mind-altering substance is already in the door - no help for me there. And if legalizing marijuana has the practical benefits I say it will - taking a big bite out of criminal profits, and increasing the comparative disincentive to move from using marijuana to hard drugs - then the practical argument for legalizing other drugs will have been weakened not strengthened. (And if legalizing marijuana doesn't have those benefits, the entire legalization idea will be dead in the water.)

Your accusing me of incrementalism may sound plausible - if you don't actually think about it.

Voice of reason here. It should be at least as heavily regulated as alcohol

That's been my position all along.

Quote him all you want. Doesn’t change the fact that you’re basically just an intellectual suicide bomber, out to destroy a debate because you can’t control it, and willing to blow yourself up in the process.

I generally just see your name and don’t bother reading whatever it is you wrote.

That's OK - only in a formal sense am I actually addressing you.

ø is proof positive of the debilitating effects marijuana can have on the development of the teenage mind.

I heartily agree that minors should not smoke pot - and I note that the War on Pot is counterproductive in this regard because while licensed and regulated sellers or recreational substances usually card minors, black-market dealers never do.

That’s the drugs and liberalism speaking again, you are claiming that America and the founding fathers were pot heads.

They weren’t.

There is nothing similar between pot and synthetic cannabis.

One was put on this Earth by the Good Lord.

The other thing is unknown chemicals cooked up in a lab and then sprinkled over plant material.

Please do not conflate the 2.

I Just spent the last 4 days ingesting massive amounts of kief. It is the precursor material to hash.

I both smoked and vaporized it.

Guess what? I did not have a psychotoic break. I did not go crazy.

Instead, I did laundry and a lot of yard work. I also played with my kittens, and took the dogs out to a field to run around.

Oh, and I made a really good pot of Creamy Black Bean Soup.

We must ban Creamy Black Bean Soup for everyone because it makes some people flatulent.

Bean soup was made illegal because of Big Soup like Campbell’s. They wanted to remove the competition.

Oh wait, that was Dow.

Blah blah blah. I feel like i'm trading jibes with an idiot child.

Heh. At least I was smart enough not to put myself in a position where my ass is hanging out, hoping no one decides to take a big bite.

Your whole point of contention is whether or not people who left their child in the home of DRUG DEALERS were themselves drug dealers.

More precisely, my point is whether you would have much of a defense in a defamation suit against the accusation you made =>

The child was just in an unfortunate situation brought on by being born to dope smoking/dealing parents.

When you make charges like that in a public forum, you better have good evidence that it is factual.

Once again, you don't like being called out on the fact that you are proposing to justify the carnage of marijuana by pointing to the carnage of alcohol.

"The carnage of marijuana"?

LOL, and what carnage would that be?

You can post all the pictures you want - after all, kicking over the table is what children do, and you seem to be obsessed with childish thinking.

Nevertheless, while you're spewing your temper-tantrum, the world will go on as it always has, with people comparing relative harms. And every time they do, they will see that alcohol is literally thousands of times more dangerous than marijuana. They will also see that the Constitution is a doctrine of negative rights, and so permission is not needed for anything not addressed as a role of limited government. And finally, they will see that by the standards of harm, which is the ONLY standard legally allowable here, marijuana is untouchable, and that alcohol acceptance provides the perfect standard for allowable harm.

Like I said, you have no moral position and no logical position and no medical position. And therefore, you also have no legal position. But you scream real good, so I guess that's something. What something, I couldn't say. But something.
