During a heated discussion over gay marriage, CNN morning Anchor Chris Cuomo opined that the unalienable rights endowed to all Americans do not come from God.
Cuomo was debating Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore on the constitutionality of same-sex marriage. Near the end of the back-and-forth and after Moore argued that rights cannot be handed down by men, Cuomo blurted out:
Our rights do not come from God, your honor, and you know that. They come from man... Thats your faith, thats my faith, but thats not our country. Our laws come from collective agreement and compromise.

The SCOTUS has moved away from basing decisions on the Declaration of Independence and now makes up their own laws by inventing their own living Constitution.

Translated that means our rights come from Government.
That is how statists think, alas.

Typical leftie...changes the subject mid argument. He starts out talking about6 rights then switches mid sentence to laws.
Exactly. If they did not come from God, they come from Kings or government bodies, either of which can revoke them at a whim so they aren't truly "rights".
Cuomo just doesn’t no when to stop....he got b!tchslapped by Ben Carson last week for his snide remarks...

Unfortunately I caught this exchange as well. Cuomo is not a “host”, and “anchor”, or whatever. He acted a lying, belligerent, partisan jerk.
Without a doubt he is a certified dumb@ss!
If your rights don't come from a higher power and come from men, then men can take them away without a care.
This is an argument liberals should never engage in. I'm glad they did, but they should steer clear of it if they are smart.
I have just revoked Chris Cuomo’s right to live.
Given that he says I have the authority to do that he shouldn’t complain.
Unfortunately it is the reverse: Stupid enough to be on alphabet TV news.
Cuomo actually said that his belief is the same as Judge Moore’s? Really? Huh, another whopper and another Catholic in Name Only.
