A co-worker once said that Alzheimer’s was the worst way to die because you died all alone.
Been a long time since I’ve given a crap about Grammys or any other awards - BUT this is really good. Maybe they stopped and listened. What else to say?
That’s what Grammys were originally supposed to represent - quality, not popularity.
I’m really glad to hear this. Glen Campbell is a national treasure. Would have like to have seen The Band Perry win for their great cover version of Campbell’s “Gentle on My Mind”:

That song is so heartbreaking.
I saw him on the final tour. His mind was wandering and he sometimes forgot the words but he could still sing and he could still play the guitar. In fact, sometimes, to find his way back to the song he’d do a guitar solo. Apparently that part of the brain hadn’t yet been effected. Funny how the mind works.
BTW, anyone who doesn’t already know this should look up Campbell’s work with the Wrecking Crew, back in the 60s. He was one of the best rock guitarists going, bar none.
Glen Campbell is a national treasure; what a talented singer, songwriter, guitarist, a very talented man who deserved the award.
Hmmmm while i feel sorry for the disease he has...all the coke he did also comes to mind...
