A co-worker once said that Alzheimer’s was the worst way to die because you died all alone.

Many in the early stages of Alzheimer’s get upset at their memory loss. In the later stages they don’t worry anymore.

Alone for a long while. Alzheimers is cruel in removing memory. They can look at a spouse or child and maybe have a sense they know or should know the person, but can’t quite place him/her. If the patient is in good health, it takes a long time to die.
