Did Border Crisis Trigger Measles Outbreak?
breitbart ^ | Feb. 3, 2015 | Joel B. Pollak

The sudden outbreak of measles across the United States raises questions about how the disease arrived in the country after it was eradicated here in 2000.

A quick review of the U.S. State Department visa requirements for immigrant visas reveals that applicants must be vaccinated for measles prior to their approval. Measles vaccination is not required for tourist visas, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, nor is it required for any other disease.

That leaves three possibilities. One is that a tourist present legally in the U.S. brought measles to the country while visiting. This is the most plausible explanation, given that the outbreak began at Disneyland.

Another possibility is that an illegal immigrant brought measles to the country.

And the third, probably most remote, possibility is that a legal immigrant who was vaccinated still managed to contract the disease abroad, since the vaccination is not 100% effective in all cases.

I bet it was a worker at Disney that spread the measles, not a visitor.

Please don’t refer to it as “Measles”; that’s just demeaning and racist. It’s a “Dreamer Life Form”.

As of last September, the govt had shipped over 65,000 unaccompanied "kids" into this country from south and central america. I don't know how many there's been to date but you can bet it's a heck of a lot more.

That's where the measles came from as well as that EV-D68 last summer.....

YES but you will never hear that in the media. Instead they have changed the conversation to frigging vaccines about 100 people getting in in a country of 350 million

Probably not. Mexico actually has a pretty good childhood vaccination program, although people do get smuggled through there from a lot of other places, such as the ME and Asia, which don’t have much in the way of vaccinations. It’s certainly possible that it was brought in by immigrants, especially if we don’t demand a vaccination certificate (but of course, they’d get a counterfeit one anyway as part of their immigration package).

But the only reason there would be an “outbreak” here was because Americans weren’t having their kids vaccinated. Otherwise, the disease simply would have expired after a few cases. Get your kids or grandkids vaccinated.

You can print this up fill it out answering the questions by encircling your reply and send this to your US Senator ...

Dear Senator
INS &Amnesty.. Forget about Ebola
We don’t allow cattle to enter without a background health and ancestry check which we also reqiure of legal immigrants who wait years and still go thru health and record checks. We also require that any legal immingrant demonstrate prior to entry that they offer a contribution to our society and not dependency upon it .

Yet we’re letting children and gang bangers in without doing any of this which has resulted in dispersing virulent new diseases (measles) and drug use which has resulted in unreported cases in schools where these illegal kids were placed.. Plus shoved a severe financial strain on local governments where they are placed .
Should any candidate for Attorney General supporting that practice be denied confirmation ?(Yes) (No) .Should those given this bypassed favored treatment who miss their INS hearing be deported fortwith ? (Y) (N).. ? Denied re-entry (Y)(N) ?

In “countries where an American citizen decides to be a “legal” emigree never mind being a seasonal visitor still are denied voting privledges. Own land in their own name. Face steep fines before getting kicked out let alone denied income and energy subsistance including food stamps, or bring in family members .
I (do) (don’t) believe we should allow such full citizenship privledges mentioned above which are denied by the country of national origin of the above, to a legal American immigrant , deny such full citizen privledges to any (emigree) (seasonal vistor) (illegal) if their country does not allow those same privledges to any citizen of the United States, .
While such a position will be condemed as defacto deportation particularly by the political establishment .Would you continue to support a Senator who refuses to support such restrictions ? (Y) (N) Does that also include erecting border barriers such as fencing designed to discourage surrepticious or uncontolled entry ? (Yes) (No)

Should any American citizen which goes overseas to join a foreign entity fighting against the United States (such as ISIS) Be denied re-entry (Y)(N) and their citizenship revoked? (Y) (N) Should that person be charged with treason (Y)(N)

Very Truly Yours For Returning the value of American citizenship and Conservative Government

Do click the link I posted in comment 3.

Even in countries like China with NO vaccine exemptions there have been measles outbreaks. The vaccine itself has issues. The article I posted explains those.

“Get your kids or grandkids vaccinated.” No thanks.....

If folks decide to believe the anti vaccine crowd, and ignore the medical community, then they are playing russian roulette with their kids' and grandkids' lives. It's their choice, but a dangerous roll of the dice nonetheless. This isn't 1980 when we didn't have thousands of unvaccinated illegals pouring accross our borders. The disease ( and possibly more) are here. Don't put your head in the sand. We eliminated measels in this country for a reason in the 1950's. Don't turn the clock back.

about 100 people getting it

That's just it. It isn't that large a number considering how many unvaccinated invaders were allowed to enter the US. A much better answer than excessive vaccinations would be to keep sickly populations out of the US. As far as the vulnerability of infants, that's an inane argument. In the old days (like 30 and more years ago) responsible parents would keep their young infants out of germ-laden environments until their immune systems had time to develop. Now, some parents are bringing kids to daycare or on planes to Disneyworld etc when they're a few months old!

I'm going to connect another dot....Ebola. How long before the gov-big medicine-complicit media are trying to bully everyone into some Ebola vaccine since no one's stopping it from entering the US?

Tell you what. You get your kids vaccinated if that's your decision. For your grandkids, let their parents make the decision.

People at high risk and young infants without a developed immune system should stay out of environments where diseases are likely to spread. Even getting vaccines shouldn't negate that responsibility for parents.

How much of this spread is because of unvaccinated invaders? If people really care about the health situation, they'd demand some border control!
