It takes two to make a baby.
But, how can I explain away having this gut.
I cringe when I hear that. ugh.
“We’re expecting” might make more sense.
Welcome to FR.
It takes two to make it happen.
Unless she’s some reptilian and can do parthogenesis.
The baby daddy’s name goes on the birf certificate. ‘WE’ are expecting.
Pussified liberal males.
I agree that it is silly. But the guy is still on the hook for birthing bills, child support and the responsibilities of being a father (along with the joys), so it isn’t nearly as silly as other PC type statements.
The liberals don’t want the father to think he has any suzerainty over the well-being of the child in utero.
Like putting women in combat or on submarines?
I fully support the “we are pregnant” comment. At least the dad is willing to step up and be responsible. For far too long, certain aspects of our society have treated “she is pregnant” as a reason to deny responsibility and just leave.
I’ve got two kids. Never once said “we’re pregnant”. To me it’s a presumption that has no responsibility with respect to the physical trials the mother has to undergo to have the child.
That said, a man with a pregnant wife has to bear the full implications of what that means. I don’t mean “baby daddy” like you see on “Maury” or “Jerry” - those are just harbingers of what this society is fast becoming
The implication, commitment and resolve needed cover a much longer responsibility are far greater. Few are ready to meet the challenge.
THANK YOU!
When did this become a thing? and any guy that says that is a straight-up mangina.
Does that mean men should quit saying, “We’re having a baby”? After all, the man isn’t having a baby, the woman is. Saying “we’re pregnant” isn’t PC run amok or somehow emasculating, it’s an acknowledgment of the relationship between mother, father, and child.
We’re paying the bills for pregnant.
Joined FR just to post this?
“We’re pregnant”. Sure sign of a metrosexual pajama boy.
This thread is worthless without pictures! (Of Jerry Doyle, not pregnant men, please.)
