Everyone knows dogs like to chew stuff but one pooch has taken it to another level after eating a pair of calf-high womens leather boots, NBC reports.

Hope the owner has to take a second mortgage to pay for this surgery. Expensive lesson to learn.
I keep my boots outta reach but have health insurance, anyway.
You never know. ;)
Looks a bit like my dog. A pitbull mix.
Not a real large dog, but she is strong as an ox.
And powerful jaws! I’ve seen her make very quick work
of leather shoes and soup bones.
If she weren’t so sweet she’d be one dangerous doggie!
Sometimes we can forget when all is said and done, they are animals, and very much prone to make poor decisions when instinctual urges lead the way. I’ve heard of some adult dogs who would eat, or at least swallow entire non-food objects.
My JRT had the most colorful poop in the neighborhood from all the different color of toys he would eat.
That dog loves boots!
Heel, Fido!
Hoof in mouth disease?
Cute little ankle biter.
That’s just patently wrong.
Those are womens boots????????
These Boots are Made for Snacking.
Previous Standard Poodle would eat the kids’ crayons. I think they had real tasty little kid sweat and slime.
Yep, colorful.
Last week at the vet’s, reading the poster on the back of the door while we waited (for bite treatment from dog next door) was this list of 10 most eaten items:
Socks, panties, hosery, rocks, dog toys, hair bands, bones, balls, and a couple more.
New poodle likes socks (mom’s or grandaughter’s thin ones) or kleenex. They come back from either end. So far.
One day I googled dog eating stuff and found a dog that had 17 items (like socks, golf gloves, etc.) that the vet had to surgically remove. Some kind of bird dog, German Shorthair, I think.
Oh and he loved tomatoes, come spring of the year I could find lots of rogue tomato plant all over the yard.
My Great Dane, while growing up (he’s now nearly four and has outgrown most of his exotic youthful culinary dispositions) had a real taste for bedding, socks, and drywall. Yes, he loved to lick holes in the drywall.
I'll never forget when our *rock-star* swallowed the stone....and the comfort and advice you gave us.....during the long, long 10 days/2 weeks until the Boy finally upchucked it! [Thanks again!]
Outside of the coffee table Winchester pretty much gnawed into oblivion ..... by 4 years, he stopped the habit of chewing anything in sight.
We're learning to make snow angels today!
LOL....perfect!
