What else is around 23rd St, for those unfamiliar with NYC?

A friend of mine who owns a leather goods store but, I don’t know the name of it.

I also use to be a member of the Halcyon Club at what was one of my favorite hotels years ago “The Rhiga Royal”

Off the top of my head though is Veritas Restaurant and Union Square Cafe, Sparks and bunch of other places.

Love fresh made, piping hot, potato chips...

It’s Chelsea. Many big box stores in the area. It’s also where the gay migration led after the Aids crisis. Until that time the West Village had been their roosting place.

Chelsea is very vibrant with restaurants, stores and Union Square Market.

The Flatiron building and Madison Square Park are 1-2 blocks away.

Empire State Building is directly 10 blocks north

Saw a few answers but nobody mentioned Eataly, at 24th and Fifth, sort of catty corner from the Flatiron Building, which was once the tallest building in NYC. Eataly has all sorts of Italian food specialty shops inside and all different levels of restaurants.

Sorry about the victim. If the shooter had stopped for a nice sandwich and a glass of wine he might have gone home instead of shooting his boss.
