I cleaned most of the junk out on Saturday.

And moved some semi-frozen pond muck from the staging heap to the sippy hole.

Around here , muck is considered essential for onions and related root crops, as it is rich in fiber and retains moisture
That would be all members of the allium family (onions), and other root crops.
Plug in your long-johns as climatologist, Joe Bastardi, is calling for a possible repeat of the winter of 1977, which includes snow and blizzards.

Some of his documentation is over my head , and level of pay (retired), he is calling for a 'bear' of a winter thru mid April
Ignore him if you will, but he had been more accurate than Accuweather, or NOAA, and readily admits his mistakes.
This one he is sure of ... !
