Maybe the NFL will speak to Hillary Clinton?

It's not we . It's the news media. They brainwash ,control , distract people.

I mean everywhere you go this story is , in every tv in every restaurant , the gym, the radio, the Internet , newspapers, magazines, everywhere. A little person sees this plastered everywhere and they think that is what is news or gets distracted by the shiny object the hypnotist is swaying in front of them. the media creates a buzz about any topic they chose. this is just one of their latest projects. what was the big news before the election “ebola threatening the USA”

Step back, and remember what the NFL is. It is entertainment. The Pats are a popular team, more so than the Colts. The NFL will not hit the Pats to hard, because the ratings for the Patriots in the Superbowl will be higher than if the Colts won.

In this day an age, rules only apply as long as the ones making the rules want them to.

I have this feeling that this scandal, not the Ray Rice scandal, could be the downfall of Roger Goodell. Especially when we now know that Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, former Buccaneers QB Brad Johnson, and Giants QB Eli Manning all admitted that they "doctored" the football to their preference one week before each game.

Watch for the NFL to require that the footballs used in the field of play be always under the control of an NFL official and be "seasoned" in a manner approved by the NFL league offices. And the football will have its air pressure checked just before put into field of play. In short, the days of each team "seasoning" 12 footballs for one week before the game is now over.

Right. By the NFL...who doesn’t want to confirm ANYTHING prior to the Super Bowl otherwise they’d have to take action.

This has been since Sunday!! and no one from the league has even talked to Tom Brady???????

I think ratings will be up because of all the negative NFL abuse stories and this deflater crap to feed the fire until the super bowl. I think the NFL is over joyed that they are getting free publicity over this. I have watched 0 minutes of NFL this season. I am not watching the super bowl.

The solution is to make the inflation pressure standard wider. What difference does it make?

I have a simple solution to this problem. Hire referees who will control the football and make sure no-one has an advantage. I know it sounds simple but APPARENTLY THEY DON'T HAVE ANY REFEREES NOW. OR THEY ARE ON THE TAKE.

THE most troubling thing is when asked if he was a ‘cheater’, instead of an outright and blatant “NO!” he said “I don’t believe I am”..............VERY CLINTON-ESQUE.....................

I'm far more upset about the bad call in the Lions game. Now THAT was atrocious. AND game changing. Not so with this "scandal".

Like I said earlier, if the Colts had rallied and made it close once the balls were made "official" in the second half there maight be a case for punishment. That the Patriots beat them 28-0 when the balls were correct is the most telling statement about the ridiculousness of those who claim this was "serious".

I suggest the league take away all points the Patriots scored in the first half as punishment......

What follows really does not fit but I it is a phrase used on the set that is dying for an appropriate application.

“Shoot the balls”

Someday this phrase will have an appropriate application and be funny.

Has it ever occurred to ANYone that the issue is of no interest to professional football people but that this is a cancer spreading all its own via curious people with ulterior motives ?

I'm no football nut .. (except I love to see guys slam it up because I no longer can ... and by God I LOVED it back then)

Remember that ... these guys have chosen a way to earn a living that matches their personality ... they LOVE that shit

Don’t the game officials, several of them in fact, handle the ball before and after each down?

If the difference between properly-/under-/over-inflated balls is that apparent, why didn’t any of them notice?

In fact, it appears that, in all of this, nobody’s bothered to talk to the referees.

Tell me, would Ray Nitchke complain about a “soft ball” when he got pancaked by Alex Karras?

Bet Nitschke wishes this were a "soft" ball

Some part time ball guy used his gauge and set the pressure on the Pats side, hence why they were all consistent. A different gauge was used on the other side of the field.

I tend to believe Brady (and any QB) when he said after he chose the balls he wanted and they went to the refs for verification he does not want them changed in any way.

The Colts safety summed it up when he said they could have thrown soap bars and beat them, they played poorly. It made no difference in the game.

If the two pound difference is that significant, how is it that the official who handles the ball didn’t notice that it was different? I am willing to accept, however, that for pro QBs, a significant difference to them may be not noticeable to the rest of us.
