Cue Captain Obvious.
There is a definite dichotomous split in worldview.
It started with the choice offered in The Garden.

American liberals and conservatives think as if from different cultures

The study's claim that liberals are more individualistic may come as a surprise to some, because we associate "individualism" with capitalism and collectivism with socialism, but at another level it makes a lot of sense.
Liberals ARE individualistic in the negative sense of being self-indulgent, spoiled, desire instant gratification, etc. They're "individualists" in the same way that a self-centered little kid is an individualist by default.
Conservatives do have "collectivist" tendencies, but these have nothing to do with economic socialism. It's the collectivism that makes people oriented towards and loyal to their community, culture, and country.

while Westerners, generally, and American liberals, in particular, are more analytical thinkers. But the libtard mode of thought is more than analysis. their mode of thought is complete disintegration. Once they have broken reality up into many parts, they are unable to reconnect them back together again to form a whole. They are unable to form objective concepts and principles. Thus, they are left with nothing but a perceptual concrete level mentality and emotionalism to make decisions.

Are you sure?
I see the American left, sending American jobs to other countries, and setting brand new record trade deficits with China.
Except that is (exactly) what I also see from the Right.
Everyone is selling out America.

Based on my experience with liberal friends and family members I would say this study is totally upside down. My best liberal friend even admits he is pollyanish is his world view. None of the liberals in my life care a wit about facts and do not even understand the meaning of the word analytical. They are emotion driven and live in a world of unicorns and rainbows.
