Hope people get a grip on what it takes to make a free nation far to many slackers take it for granted.

Interesting how pro-America and pro-Christian/religion movies are smash hits but liberal stuff, not so much.

Looking forward to it.

AMC’s “Turn” is an exceptional history based drama about Washington’s Culper spy ring. Its due to return this spring.

I was terrified of how they would handle the Dunmore proclamation but they covered it beautifully and honestly.

The History Channel is also showing 4 programs on Wednesday, Jan. 21 titled “Revolution”. THey start at 6 AM Central Time and go until 10 AM. Set your DVRs and watch at your leisure.

Factoid: More people died on the infamous prison ships in NY Harbor (11,000) than died in combat (8,500) during the Revolutionary war. Prisoners could earn their freedom by enlisting in the British Navy, and there is no record that anyone ever did, despite the horrific conditions.

Me too. I have all ten episodes of the first season of Turn recorded and watch them from time to time.

Thank you for the note.

Hopefully this will not be revisionist history...

Yeah. I was terrified at what Hollywood would do to the story but they nailed it with the story and the casting of characters.

My favorite character is Robert Rogers played by Angus MacFadyen. Rogers may have been the enemy but he contributed hugely to the creation of America and especially to military tactics that are still in use today.

Another favorite episode was where the British started collecting the guns (for everyone’s safety) and by the end of the show they had dragged people from their homes in the middle of the night and were building gallows.

Our military still uses Rogers rules today.

Now that is REALLY revisionist history! My understanding is that instead of marching through the streets after dumping the tea in the harbor, the perps scattered and remained secret for many years afterward. After all, dumping that tea was treason, punishable by hanging!

Samuel Roukin plays the Simcoe role great. I want to beat him with a baseball bat.
