My wife’s step-father died last week in Illinois after being weakened by the flu, he was 90.

I get mine every year. At my age a bout of Flu might cost conservatives a vote.

Don’t know which strain I had this past February, but it really sucked. Beat me up for 10 days and took about 1 month before I felt 100%.

I refuse to get flu shots no matter how much pressure I get from work and family.
Yeah I'm the same way. I prefer to keep my immune system strong by letting it work. I'm sure I contract whatever is going around but only get mildly feverish or achy for a few days and then I'm good.

There have probably been more deaths from the flu at the NH this week. The obit's in our local paper will tell the story.
Looked for the story in our national news but found it in the UK. Think the real story is even worse than this report.

Fatalities cluster around children ten and under, and oldsters 70 and over. So to the old farts here who think they are bulletproof, good luck.

Gee, I wonder why the strains are mutating so? Duh!

It’s good to have a nebulizer around to keep it out of the lungs. Am using mine every day.

Sorry to hear that. May God bless his soul.

Ya know....us old farts aren't as dumb as you think. And we're watching out for you younger folks, too.
IMHO...The object of pharmaceutical companies is to make everyone in the universe dependent on drugs to survive.
I remember one study in particular.....If I went on hormone therapy for 20 years, I would live longer.....8 days longer.

I prefer to keep my immune system strong by letting it work. Not only that, but you can never really tell when you might be using it. If you're fighting off a grizzly, you don't want a pit bull latching on to your butt.

I've had a full blown flu twice - you wish death upon yourself
you are blessed to have avoided it
To: Sacajaweau
I take a multivitamin too. Powerful stuff.
