What Did You Get For Christmas?
Some Stuff | 12/26/14 | blueunicorn6

What did you get for Christmas? I asked Santa for a Harley Davidson motorcycle. I've got a perfect place for it in the garage. I can't ride it. I'm a menace to society when I'm on a motorcycle. Not because I carry a switchblade. I just crash all the time. I was looking at a motorcycle once, and it fell on me. Engine wasn't even running. Just fell on me. I really rode in my younger days. I rode into cars. I rode into trees. Once, I even rode into a hill. You'd think that you could see a hill from a long distance away and miss it, but, nope, I came around a corner and there was a hill and I smacked into it. And they don't give, much. Well, I asked for a Harley Davidson, and you know what I got? Holland. Now, what the heck am I supposed to do with Holland? Windmills and dykes and wooden shoes and the Hollandaise people. Have you ever tried to ride a windmill down Highway 101? Nothing but trouble there. I'll probably just re gift it and give it to my cousin David. Anybody else get a good present?

Well, if you guys needs a chopher....chofur.....driver in Hawaii, I’m available. As long as it’s not driving a motorcycle. I’d be the only person in Hawaii to run into a volcano.

Well...most of this came from my brother and sister and their mates who have done very well in life......I was stunned since I spent Christams on my own.....had no expectations at all. So this was a complete surprise!

When I was just old enough to think I was big enough, I asked my parents for a Cushman Eagle or a Mustang scooter for Christmas.

Come that day there was a string tied to the tree with my name on a tag; following the string out the door, through the yard, and to the garage I was convinced I was ready to ride to school without pedals. Swung the doors open and followed the string to my brand new portable typewriter...

I've owned several bikes over the years and have got to admit that if it had been a scooter it'd have been gone as soon as I was tall enough to kick a Triumph. But I still have that old underwood.

I got more than I wanted.

Father-in-law gave us $50 apiece, youth pastor and his wife gave us a gift card to Olive Garden, and DH's sister gave us a can of chocolate covered pretzels. DH and I are both employed by our church and received Christmas bonuses. MY family is meeting for Christmas tomorrow so not sure yet.

Gave DH two DVDs: Hondo and Big Jake, some Cherry Cordial Hershey Kisses and Snickers. We both buy ourselves stuff through the year so Christmas is small.

Well, maybe you could trade a shirt to that guy that has the Obama toilet paper. That wouldn’t be a very good trade, though. My cousin David traded the family cow for some magic beans. Then, he smoked the beans. The police caught him, but it turns out that there’s no law against being stupid in Massachusetts. That’s why they all live there.

Look at the year...horses were used then so by rigging the shoes too appear as horse tracks they could avoid discovery I suspect.
