Well, I DON’T have Hobbits, but I’d like a few; they seem handy to have around!
I like, ‘Hangin’ ‘Round The Mistletoe’ by Brooks & Dunn. Gets me movin’ and is just plain CUTE. :)

“Christmas Shoes” was good at first, then it got overexposed. Now I can’t stand it. Also any version of “12 Days of Christmas” except for Relient K’s version
Do you mean ‘Do You Hear What I Hear’?
(I don’t really care about the ‘politics’ behind the song; everything is ultimately subjective, and we interpret things individually, according to our own capabilities, references, and understandings.)
I frequently listen to the radio, through earplugs, while I go to sleep. As a former insomniac, I learned years ago that this helped me to sleep. (I no longer have trouble sleeping, but haven’t gotten out of the habit of occasionally listening to talk radio, while falling asleep.)
Last year, on Christmas Eve, the station that I usually listen to was playing Christmas music all night.
At one point, I heard sung the words: “Let Us Bring Him Silver and Gold”, and those words meant a lot to me - I seemed to understand them for the first time. A great thrill went through my mind and body as the words were sung.
“Bringing Silver and Gold” suggests to me that we must be the best that we can absolutely be, to honor Our Lord: to be loving, kind and virtuous, to the best of our personal abilities.
I believe that this experience, and the viewpoint that it engendered, have really changed my life during the past year; and I have learned to love that song, especially Bing Crosby’s version.
Merry Christmas to all,
JT
1A) Simply Having A Wonderful Christmastime by Somebody (don't know, don't care, don't tell me)
1B) Some stupid song by The Beach Boys about Santa driving a little deuce coupe or something (don't know the name of the song, don't care, don't tell me)
1C) Some stupid song by Elton John (don't remember the name, don't care to remember, don't tell me)
*evil grin*
No, missed it, but I heard about it. That’s why I mentioned her original.
Especially when Melissa as Mariah sings,
“Yes, it’s true they killed my Savior,
“That’s not the best behavior.
“That’s OK, He rose again, three days later,
“Now I’m an active J-dater! (shows `cougar’ ID card)
The gold ear pendant shaped like a dreidel.... And I do like the two reindeer gals with their “Shalom” signs.
;^)
I actually like most of these depending on who is singing the song.
The oldies station plays 50’s to 80’s (when the hell did my 80’s become oldies???) so most of these have been aired.
The Jackson 5 version of “I saw Mommy..” annoys the hell out of me. I like “Last Christmas” but I change some of the lyrics. And I always have some snarky comment when they play “Do They Know It’s Christmas”.
I like the spoof songs that Dr. D played. Still sing the lyrics to “Rusty Chevrolet”.
Last Christmas I gave you my heart, the very next day you sold it on e-bay...
Then there’s “Text Me Merry Christmas”.
never heard that, thank goodness
I saw Momma mugging Santa Claus
“Phillipe’s not me dad...Phillipe’s not me dad!”
Why does Daddy ring his own doorbell? Did they change the locks as soon as they heard he was killed? LOL

Amen! Totally agree. Josh Groban nails it. I can’t think of any other Christmas song that is as well-done musically or vocally.
I also like Andy Williams’s version from his “Christmas
Album” cd. It’s the simple version of the song, but his voice is amazing. He hits the high note and is sung with a lot of emotion.
I’m not a big Elvis fan, but I like that song. It’s a little sad, but is well-written and has a ‘50’s feel.
Nah- Hell features a trio- Kenny G, John Tesh and Yani.
