As of Jan. 1, 2012, an estimated 13.3 million lawful permanent residents lived in the United States, and 8.8 million of them were eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship but had not done so. In California, 2.48 million out of 3.4 million green-card holders were eligible to apply but chose not to. And, of course, not all non-citizens residing in this country are “lawful.” An estimated 11 million people live here without permission, though President Obama recently took action to defer the deportation of as many as half of them. .

Well how about non members of congress voting. Or non judges adding to judge rules. How about non-union members voting on union policy. I mean if an employee works at the same business but is a non-union member, let him vote.

You could go on and on and on and every example would expose the ridiculousness of this proposal.

My Canadian GF and I are card-carrying members of the Conservative Party in canada. Yep, same party which belongs to PM Harper. She wishes she could vote but as a respecting resident of America, she follows the rules. Of course, that won’t stop these illegals from doing so.

Of course not, non-citizens should be expelled. However, Americans are so sick that the illegals will soon be voting.

if I knowingly treated people in such a fashion, especially for my own gain, my conscience would literally drive me insane. I wouldn’t be able to live with what I had done.

Oh how silly of me, I actually have a conscience, liberals don’t. how did I forget that.

Non-citizens are still members of their communities. They pay taxes

OK. Anybody who doesn't pay taxes shouldn't get to vote.

as many as 40 states and U.S. territories once allowed non-citizens to vote

And a bunch of states used to prohibit "paupers" from voting. OK. Anybody on welfare shouldn't get to vote.

The article makes a number of good arguments. ;^)

Hell yes. People who don’t even live here should have a vote. Everybody should get to vote except for natural born US citizens.

Here we go. We all knew it was always just a matter of time as to when the Liberals would start calling for the illegals to start voting for Democrats. After all, that’s why Obama and Democrats fought so hard to let these bodies in the country.

John Boehner and the Chamber need to tell us why they fought WITH Democrats to help them.

Their policy is simple. The citizenry is troublesome, so import a new citizenry. We are being replaced.

The remaining problem is, it is taking too long as they have to wait for the replacements to wait out the years of red tape to get their green cards, then more years waiting to get their citizenship. Its taking too long.

So, just change the laws so they can start counting their votes now.

They already control important pieces of both parties. They often, in fact usually, have two horse in every race. They control an enormous number of judgeships allowing them to circumvent the citizens almost at will. But they are losing patience. They want it all and they want it all now.

Liberals can rationalize anything.

Liberals believe that we are all citizens of the world. They do not recognize national borders. They have no loyalty to individual nations. Therefore, voting in whichever particular location you happen to be in at the time makes perfect sense

If they want to vote, they should go back to where they are from and vote.
