They are this years must-have Christmas presents for selfie-obsessed Britons. So-called selfie-sticks that allow camera phones to be extended up to a metre away for group shots and panoramic images are flying off the shelves. While the selfie might have gone mainstream in 2014, it now appears that simply taking a picture of yourself and others with your smartphone is passe.

Then I remembered using the timer with the then-wife on vacation a number of times.
That brings to mind the consequence of asking somebody as Clarke W. Griswold did in "European Vacation", to the price of the "monopod" might be quite cheap in comparison.
And that such snaps can be used by psycho killers presenting slide shows, asking "Do you see?"
We are able to hold in our hand a device that will give us instant access to the collective knowledge of mankind. What do we do with it? Take vanity portraits to post for others to look at.
Just wait until I release my “selfie drone” next year. It will follow you around all day, hovering and taking selfies of you from every angle.
A lumix will come first hopefully right around Christmas. A go pro maybe later. If the lumix lives up to the reviews, I will part with the Canon stuff.
I am on FB to stay in contact with all the relatives back east. I have very few relatives left where I am. I almost have an obsession now though. If one of them posts too many selfies I unfriend them. lol Just can’t help myself. Makes me instantly dislike them.

That's one of the big ones, for sure. However, this device is late coming to our shores. The Pacific Rim nations have been going crazy for these things for a while now.
I'll bet it was invented in Japan, you know how they are with photography stuff.
