Browns have a great tradition of relieving the anxiety of overrated college quarterbacks who are squirming in the green room by drafting them late in the first round. Brady Quinn, Johnny Manziel......Who’s next?

Typical rookie problems: holding the ball too long, throwing late and high, overthrowing the target, trying to force a play instead of throwing it away and moving on.

Beyond that, the whole team was flat after a demoralizing loss last week and an injury-riddled defense that is about half the practice squad. Coaching was lackluster all around.

Browns are out for this year, maybe can salvage an 8-8 season.

When Joe Buck asked Hall of Famer Troy Aikmen about Johnny Football’s debut, he basically said that when he compared to his first game as a rookie, Johnny Football looked pretty good!

One first starting game does not make an NFL QB overnight.
Not sure if Manziel has the NFL goods but he needs time to develop. Probably a smart idea to start him even this late in the year. Its not like Cleveland was going far anyway this season.

Johnny Manziel is the bum on the field
So many yards and interceptions did Johnny boy yield
He always partying and bragging to the press
But he's even more over than Mark Sanchez
Slamming drinks on the Bowery at a quarter to four
'Cause he ain't gonna work on Maggie's farm no more
Playing on borrowed time and borrowed money
Playin' on the field, there ain't a damn thing funny
Incomplete passes and an offense comatose
A football past of which nobody knows
Fumbling the ball all over the place
He only gains yardage by falling down on his face
Sometimes known as the leader of the hopeless
Sometimes drunk and he's always clueless
Pretending to play for the Cleveland Browns
He's awfully poor at converting third downs
Johnny Manziel, Johnny Manziel

The best tweet I ever saw about manziel was “Johnny Manziel, the Justin Beiber of the NFL”

I probably like Johnny Clipboard less than anyone but this will be his worst performance in all likelihood. The offense is still geared toward Hoyer, these first teamers have practiced a lot more with Hoyer.

Every LSU fan knows Johnny is uncomfortable making plays when forced to the right. LSU was the only team that could contain him in college.

JM was forced into risk taking from the first series for the rest of the game.

No quarterback in football, pocket or otherwise, would have succeeded in this game with no line containment, and a penalized porus defense on the field for much of the game.

Why all the complaints about this one QB leading the Cleveland Browns? It’s not like they’ve ever been to a Super Bowl.

I just think of the Browns like I do the Chicago Cubs - Many hoping, but no going.
