Yep, she’s a hottie, no two ways about it.

I really liked her character too. When he left her there at the end, I was thinking he really screwed up.

Then again, his life being what it was, he must have loved her a lot to leave her.

I would have been very tempted to quite the game and spend my remaining years...

Got to remember is that the folks who go see the Bond now are middle-age women such as me, which this choice will make me happy. :)

My thoughts on that are aimed at myself, nobody else. My line of reasoning makes sense to me, but ultimately it may not make total sense.

I don’t like the idea of transitioning into the geriatric years, as my significant other transitions into early middle aged.

At some point she would have to watch me fade away. I would also carry a big burden if she were to be tied down to me at that point.

Alas, it wouldn’t turn out well.

I do identify with your thoughts and reasoning. It also depends on what age were actually talking about too.

The Bond series started without a gap in age, then the Bond men got older and finally old. If they’re going to be old, the women might as well be middle aged.

Thanks for the recents...

I’ll say this about the bond girls. They are generally women he runs into during the process. He isn’t so much looking for a life partner vs a convenient love interest.

He is near them for a few weeks at most. He moves on because he’s a secret agent and he has his next case to move on to.

If he were looking for a life partner where you find them, I would agree with your take more. Finding someone more his age would make sense.

From the photo at the link, Daniel Craig better start watching his T and C's (tea and crumpets).

Without makeup he looks like what he is, a middle-aging, gun-hugging white guy. Instead of a triple-threat man he's a triple-chin man.

He should be working-out rather than making-out.
