We liked Amsterdam, a few good tourist sites. Anne Frank, the canals and more. Took a nice day trip to very clean small villages outside of the city. I’d go back.
I’ve never found the Alamo anything but inspiring. We haven’t been there since we moved back East ... the last time must have been 2001, before Patrick was born.
Surprised by the German influence in SA. Went through a nice residential area German style houses, Nice lucch at a german restaurant.
Drove through midland one Friday night. Could see lights on at a football stadium. The streets were empty.
Hey, I like the sound of that! I like to go to the local Hof Fest, so I’m thinking the whole town being like that would be fun.
I just watched that miniseries a couple of weeks ago on Netflix, so it must’ve planted a thought in my head. I should re-read the book, it’s been 20 years.
Stonehenge is dreadful.

Some of the tourists who wrote the reviews must be brain damaged or just stupid. “ Stonehenge was a pile of rocks” duh. And a prehistoric astronomic observatory. No wonder at how Neolithic man could move, shape and pile those “ rocks”? Idiot.
Venice. Tourist areas ? Sure. Walk out of the tourist areas, amazing old Palazos. The Arsenal of Venice. The Doges palace. The Quadriga from Constantinople. More idiots.
People like that should stick to Disney world or stay home.
