I have a similar problem with an 85 lb. Pitador and 110 lb. Great Dane.

Yes, I can see that’s being a problem. My mother’s building allows dogs up to 40 lbs., unless they are “certified” therapy dogs who are actually taken places to do dog-therapy.
Also, if the pet you have when you move in dies, you’re not allowed to get a new one. However, it’s common for people to get a new dog or cat and claim it’s the same one they always had ;-). My mother did this with a cat.

Oh heck! Why didn’t Monkeyface call me first?? I have a cat I’d like to get rid of - plus two drop-offs that keep hanging off on my porch! I can’t take in every cat that some cruel person drops off!

I think, when she settles in, she will be totally awesome. With her recent history, I’m not going to push anything with her. Six months of confinement is cruel and unusual, but no one wanted to take her home. Sparkle has a little gold boomerang on her forehead, facing her nose, and we came close to calling her that. But at 8.1 pounds, she makes a better Sparkle!
