Lifetimes weirdly meta film, Grumpy Cats Worst Christmas Everwhich comes complete with Aubrey Plaza appearing onscreen to announce shes voicing the beloved Internet memeis, essentially, the story of one young girls attempt at making friends and saving a mall. Yep; it sounds about as interesting as it is to watch.
With Grumpy Cat narrating the young girls storyand popping in to drive cars and operate paintball gunsthe film focuses on a mall pet store and the two musicians who decide to steal a $1 million dog. The annoying animals and even more annoying humans pull focus from Grumpy Cats grumpy face, just to make desperate jokes that ultimately fall flat. Which makes one wonder: If this is Grumpy Cats Christmas, why arent we just watching Grumpy Cat walk around for two hours? (Which, by the way, would have been five times more entertaining than the actual film.)
Instead, Grumpy Cats face occasionally pops up in the corner of the screen to review whats happened in the movie and, ultimately, to teach us a lesson about being grumpy
all while making the viewer grumpier with each passing moment. Oh, and dont forget when Grumpy Cat stops the movie to tell you to tweet along with her. Here are the hashtags: #worstchristmasever #whyamiwatchingthis

Have to disagree on that one. Tardar Sauce is my homegirl.
I will confess that I watched the movie, and liked it more than I expected. I wasn’t anticipating “Miracle on 34th Street”, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, or “Christmas Story”.
I liked how it made fun or itself, and the usual Lifetime Fare. Some of the little girls in my neighborhood watched, and are already asking for Grumpy Cat themed items for Christmas.
Even as a little kid, when I saw it, I recognized how awful it was.
I’m with you. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought they struck a good balance with its irreverence, being somewhat MST-eee at times. Bring on the sequel!
Grumpy Cat is female, which is why they used a female voice, IMO. Should have gotten someone closer to Selma Diamond, though.
Color me unsurprised. Cats suck.
Well at least there are three of us on FR who liked the movie.
That’s better than two, I guess.
Grumpy Cat golf balls! Losing one would really make me grumpy.
I'd much rather see Lifetime's Grumpy Cat Movie than a Christmas Movie from Quentin Tarantino..
Was it a great film? Nowhere close. But it was decent enough to have on the TV while I handled emails. Maybe they can do a Grumpy Cat Christmas Carol.
Yeah, that's the attitude.
When Disney bought Lucasfilm, they stuck the Star Wars Christmas Special underneath Song of the South in the secret basement of the Disney vault.
I thought it was a kids movie...I love the cat too but never even thought about watching it.
I watched a few minutes of this today and was sorry they hadn’t animated it, would have been better than the narration thing. Had my young grandsons this weekend and they love Puss ‘N Boots. I confess I watched it with them twice and enjoyed it each time, great animation.
