Iconic rocker-turned-conservative pundit Ted Nugent took to Facebook to share his version of a perfect Thanksgiving: a photo of a massive buck he brought down with a bow and arrow.

His accompanying text, next to the photo of the multi-point antler kill: “OH LORDY LORDY GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH! Happy ThanXgiving every damn day in the mystical deer grounds of America ya all! The beast is dead long live the mighty beast!”

Because you can’t grill it, until you kill it.

Yeah it looks like the bow with arrows lying against the rump of the deer.

It is a deer hunting lodge. It is pretty much in the middle of Michigan, can’t remember the nearest town. We have hunted there about 3 times. I say we but I just watch. :)

Legends ranch.

Kinda pointless here in Michigan unless you don’t know any farmers or landowners. If Nugent does any deer hunting in Michigan he probably goes to the place he used to own. He sold it to a taxidermist he knows and has a few hundred acres of prime deer territory.

We are from Texas and we don't know any Michigan farmers. We are good friends with Skipper Bettis who operates/owns Legends. It is a great hunt/get away.

Its near Bitely Michigan. I think I was by there once when I lived up that way.

The place Nugent used to own is between Hanover and Concord Michigan. I grew up in Hanover and had all kinds of land to hunt on in those days.

Because you can’t grill it, until you kill it.

And to do so would be very cruel if you could!

Deer season opened here last Sun. The next two/three days my FB was filled with pictures of my friends’ children, boys & girls photographed with their “kill”. Some nice bucks too. I happy. The deer population on the roads I have to travel will have a few less hazards.
