You got close. Somewhere between energy and force, where physics has a day off.
F=m*a, where a=dv/dt
(and E=(1/2)m*v²)
My wife is affected because the maps on TV make it look so much closer to us and she hates the cold. Going to hit 70s today and cool down a bit later in the week - mid 30s for a couple days lows and low 60s for some highs.
Big cold front. Lots of cold air. Cold, refreshing, polar air. The kind of air that makes you want to get outside with the dog at the crack of dawn and breathe it in deeply. The kind of air that inspires you to bring in some wood and get a crackling fire going in the fireplace. Then you sit by it with a good book - Dickens for example - and a tumbler of scotch neat. With a dog lying at your feet.
Ping dat polar vortex!!
Its hitting GA on Thurs. Getting the wood stacked up on the front porch.
Came up upon him, on his side in the median about 3 miles after he passed..."
I'd want to yell, as I passed him, "I'm not assisting you because your discourteous and dangerous driving put everyone else at risk, and that's not right!"
The wind takes it from cold all the way down to dang cold.
Many years ago I lived about 3 blocks from that traffic jam.

...Sandy Hook, isn’t that the northernmost shore point in Jersey...? Monmouth County...?
