Living with a cat for the first time, you quickly pick up on its behavioral quirks, many of which are common among other cats. What you soon find out is that cats aren't Republican. Here are 12 reasons why not:
1. Cats are curious about what you do in your bedroom, but they don't try to legislate away your freedom to do it.
2. Cats may take away your cushion, but they'll give it back to you with a gentle push.
3. Cats give you attention and sympathy when you're sick.
4. Females are treated with importance in the cat world.
5. Cats make use of solar power, often all day long.
6. Cats lick their own problems and take care of other cats too.
7. Cats don't blame black and brown cats for their troubles.
8. Cats know how to ration their resources.
9. Fat cats are not at the top of the cat hierarchy, are not cat role models, and have more trouble surviving and thriving, not less.
10. While Republicans blindly follow authority, it is said that getting Democrats to act in unison is like herding cats.
11. Cats don't foul their own nest.
12. Cats are popular and well-liked on the Internet and elsewhere.

I agree. Bill Clinton puts women on a pedestal. High enough so that he can look up their dresses.

My cats are Conservative - well at least Anti Dem/Lib/GOPe/RINO.

So Republicans are not Pussy..cats
That's not quite what people meant when they said Bill Clinton or Jack Kennedy had the morals of an alley cat.
The few remaining working cats in the country are probably Republican. The many who rely on handouts can be counted on to go Democratic.
On the contrary. Dogs are quintessential Democrats. They are always freeloaders, beggars for what they want. . . moving in packs. Cats, on the other hand, are independent thinkers, perfectly capable of surviving on their own, able to live off the land, and not beggars. Cats are inherently neat. Dogs, sloppy. Both cats and dogs can be quite loyal. You obviously never had a cat. I've had both.
On the contrary. You have not seen a cat figure things out. Quite smart. Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
Has the author ever owned a cat?
I am willing to stipulate that cats are democrats.
1)They lay around all day.
2)When not laying around they spend their time trying to kill small defensless creatures.
3)Their most useful function is entertainment.
4)While perfectly capable of providing for themselves they are content to let you attend their every need.
We once had a AKC registered pure bred Collie. Came from a line of grand national champions. . . her registered name was "Ivorie's Golden Inverness," but we called her "Sadie." We got her for the price of having her spaded from the guy who paid over $1000 for her as a puppy intending to show her, because her ears bent backwards instead of forwards. They had so inbred her line for conformity to the "standard" there wasn't enough room in her narrow skull for brains.
That lovely Collie would walk, no slink, around three sides of a yard or room, to avoid our cats. She was terrified of cats. If one would walk into the room, she'd jump over me lying on the couch and cower behind me, shivering. She was a good dog too.
One of the cats Sadie was afraid of was a huge Maine Coon named Shadrack. Shadrack was perhaps the smartest cat I've ever known. He had taught himself to use our toilet. He would even flush it when finished. VERY smart cat.
Shamrock and our neighbor Howard had a war going on. Howard did not want Shadrack in his yard, he was a DAWG man. . . and Shadrack was determined to irritate Howard by visiting Howard's flower beds. Howard was eternally chasing Shadrack out of his rose beds. One fine day it escalated. Howard came out to find Shadrack lying among the roses, sunning himself. Howard came charging out, yelling "GET OUT OF MY YARD, YOU DAMN CAT! SCAT!"
Shadrack took him at his word. . . and ran to Howard's prized Super Beetle Volkswagen Bug, jumped up on top of it. . . a stared at Howard. He then proceeded to lay a lovely pile of odiferous cat turds on top of the car's vinyl top!
Good thing we moved to a new home shortly after that.
You have not had inside/outside cats. My two regular bring ME food. . . rats, mice, snakes, sometimes still kicking or wriggling. . . as tribute to the leader of their pride. Find out how a cat reacts when you are ill. They are there beside you, worried.

The cat attacks the dog ,grabs him by the neck and bites the hell out of the poor guy.The cat pesters the dog when he sleeps,will get in the dog’s bed and the dog barks and pulls his bed around trying to get the cat out.
So,the cat gets away with plenty ,but then when the dog has had enough of the cat,well then all hell breaks loose and there is a tussle and cat then takes off.No one is injured it really is a lot of snarling and snapping.
Dog does good.
OOOH, my eyes, my eyes... Somethings, once seen, cannot be unseen!
Hey, you're not expecting enough from your cats. Send them out for dinner tonight. Tell them they gotta provide it! You haven't lived until you've been awakened by freshly almost rat dropped on your chest at two AM by a proud cat bringing it in to show off. ;^)
