On Bristol’s blog this morning, I read that the guy who threw the first punch tweeted right before he did it that he was “about to get famous”.

Actually, the left has pretty much come very close to doing exactly that, just by being their commie-selves, and having stolen the term.

The abolitionists and first Republicans, were real liberals in the true sense of the word, daring to challenge and change the status quo of the mid 1800's.

The word "conservative" (also applied to hard core Communists in the former Soviet Union) could now be used in reference to the leftist democrats, who are and will be doing their level best to "conserve" the current level of socialist utopia they have achieved.
