Another of the old Minolta classics to play with. It's a constant f4.5, highly rated for IQ and really compact. This may just be my new favorite walkaround lens.

Damn. I was clicking on this thinking you got a nice new gun.
I just knew it would be a nicer camera though. You do take some amazing pictures.
I look forward to seeing what you do with it! :^)

I have 2 Sony A-200s, found a deal too good to miss and grabbed a backup. If you stay a couple of years behind state of the art there is a lot of very affordable gear. A lot of “improvements” are more for the sake of increasing sales than for image quality anyway.

Can’t hang any big glass on that one.

I know.
I've got an 1985 Minolta 7000 with the programable back, that I want to have serviced because the battery in the programmable back has died and the whole camera is not working, because of it.

I have a bunch of old Minolta cameras including some really nice ones which I probably will never use again. Fortunately the lenses will work with the Sony Alpha bodies so all is not lost.

Thanks, but when I change it, I’ll still have the tiny battery of the memory saver in the 7000 to replace.

Will the Sony Alpha also work the Auto Focus lenses?
