A former RAF navigator has become the oldest person in Britain to have sex change surgery – at the age of 81.
The NHS op for Ruth Rose, once a man named James, drew criticism because of her age. But she said: “I always knew I was in the wrong body.
She used to be James, a divorced father of three and grandfather of four.
Despite Ruth’s secret desire for change, the couple stayed together for 42 years.
The marriage ended in an amicable divorce and they are still close.

Should’ve just taken the pain pill rather than the surgery.
And James should’ve been called Jane, not Ruth.
Yes we all knew this to be the case.
Their priorities reveal whom they serve.
Last year, I read a story about an English father of three who broke his arm, but had it set up in a crooked, lumpy manner, with the elbow sticking up next to his bicep. The NHS made him go around town just that way for months before his predicament was publicized. I don’t know if he ever got that arm straightened out or not. This gender switch at 81, was, in my opinion, not a priority. The same patient had hip and knee replacement before. That, I could justify.
The NHS has funds for this, but is letting people die in need of real medical care!!
That used to be obvious. Now it is HATE if you point out the obvious.
