If you want to get a Nuge t-shirt, the best person to ask is Chuck Norris.

Actually, I believe that is a function of browser support.
has been deprecated from browsers for a while.
[Although, MeshugeMikey still uses it...]

Funnily enough, I was just going through some FReeper memorabilia from oh, ten years ago [give or take] the other night, and came across this clipping about the old-time
FR from the

My original handle was something like “Factional-American”. I reregistered because I has no way to access my account info, which is on an obsolete computer.
As for ebay, I am trying to choose which one of two “Ted Nugent for President” t-shirts on ebay will look cooler on a Nuge cover band member. One shirt says “Nugent for President”, the other one says “Nugent/Norris 2016.”

Blinking has been deprecated from browsers for a while. Had to look that one up.
The HTML 'blink' function worked around here until pretty recently. I'm sure you know that it was a simple command that caused text to turn off and on. I never used it much, but on occasion it was fun to use.
Are you saying that my browser doesn't recognize that command any longer?

I recall the format from around 2000, and I much prefer having pages. All miltihundred replies on one page was.. Rough on the net connection. The beta version of FR, which was introduced and discarded after a server meltdown, was colorful to say the least. I don't remember what year it was when I first clicked on a link to Free Republic, but it must have been a long time ago. I clearly remember the format looking a bit different than what we have today.
I wasn't a regular in those days, so my memory is kinda thin on that. I just remember it displayed differently than what we see now.

It did look and display a little differently but it still resembled what we have now.

Hand HTML.
And if you didn’t close a tag, you were the sorriest sadsack to ever wander the void.
Lol.
The thread would devolve into bizarre italicized gibberish.
Back then, trolls took advantage of that and would leave an open tag at the end of their post.
