I would never do what the jeep driver did in case the corvette driver turned violent or keyed my car, thus turning me violent. This is the type of thing we were taught about in the CHL class as something that can elevate to violence and is best avoided.
But that kind of parker also tends toward the lazy.
If you had three buddies along with you, you could team up and lift the back of the ‘Vette sideways to a straight in attitude.
It feels like you’re marked and the first ding comes within weeks, even with parking out in the empty part of the lot, they’ll wedge right up beside you with the two being the only vehicles in a hundred feet.

Co-worker of mine bought a new Saturn when they first came out. Really proud to show it off, he and a couple of other workers went out to lunch and he parked the car in an empty space far away from other cars.
When they left the restaurant, he was incensed that someone had parked an old beat up car very close to the driver-side of his new car. .....He leaned up against his car and kicked both feet very hard into the old “tank” next to his car.
No damage was done to the old car, however he caved in the rear quarter panel of his new car!!! ...The other guys with him told everyone in the office what had happened and it was hilarious!
Funny how some of you see a nice car and the first thing you think about is the drivers penis.
I guess if you are a woman it is no big deal but it is kind of perverted for a guy to do this.

When I was a kid my dad had a friend with an orange Corvette, probably a ‘71 or so. Somebody set a lit cigarette on the deck behind the rear window or maybe the trunk. It burned and melted a little trough that got deeper until it ended in a hole to the trunk.
Aren’t people just wonderful?
It goes back to my Youth. When you saw someone with a nice Car or Hose, you would think to yourself, “someday”.
Nowadays, people think to themselves, that “Son of a Bitch”.

If you’re that worried about your car staying in pristine condition, maybe you should leave it in the garage under the tarp.
