never mind the fact not everyone drinks recreationally with the sole purpose of becoming inebriated...

Ha!

Who drinks for the flavor of alcoholic beverages?

I posit that everyone who drinks an alcoholic beverage drinks it for the effect. Even if they don't drink to become inebriated, they drink to experience the effects of alcohol consumption because one cannot consume alcohol and not experience some effect from it.

“The employee has been terminated,” Rudman said on the channel’s Facebook page,”

No, your employee quit.

Comparing the effects, side or otherwise, between alcohol and THC is apples and oranges. One can easily imagine what her rant (or her driving) would have been like after a half a fifth of Jack Ol’ No. 7. But that’s not to say smoking rope is beneficial or something that might prevent one from committing a public career detonation, like this one.

The stuff out there now is much, much more potent than the brown Mexican dirt weed of the 1970s. This new stuff can stupefy a person.

Dirt weed is dirt weed. That hasn't changed. But, how does the stuff out there now compare to quality Colombian Gold, Sensimilla, Maui Wowie or Thai weed of the 70s?

I once met a man who was around 30, married and with one child. He could not get promoted because he used pot every day and it made him forgetful and unfocused. I talked him into quitting for two months to see if pot was adversely effecting his performance because he thought pot had no side effects and he was never high at work. He took me up on my suggestion and discovered that pot was ruining his brain’s performance. His wife kissed and hugged me. I am their second child’s Godmother. : )

Awesome story. Admitting there is a problem is the hardest step. I know someone who started on alcohol, moved to pot and then harder drugs. He was sober for 30 years. I pray for him because he has lost his faith in God recently and started drinking again. His most recent gay partner doesn’t mind his drinking, though they met when he was sober and attending narcotics anonymous. I wonder what I can say to him now or what I should say. He was always a forceful person and would hit on anyone, including me, when he was high. Some people are just so lost and can’t figure out who’s advice to follow. I’d like to protect him from himself but I’m not sure what kind of intervention is the most compassionate and appropriate.

I think the Holy Spirit was involved in that man’s agreement to test my theory on pot reducing brain focus power even when sober. His wife had been praying for relief for a long time and then I happened to move next door. The Holy Spirit must have guided my words to fit his need. I was a successful business woman so I guess that is why he confided in me his problem of not getting promoted.
