roflmto....too funny.
Yeah, that’s part of the reason why I don’t approach.
Give them a decade or two and they’re hungry for the attention.
Tell you what, if I were these guys the fans would be my best friends. And as for the paparazzi, I’d pose and let them take all the photos they wanted.
These people are feeding your career. I laugh my ass off when these clowns get the notoriety they clamored for for years, and then they go postal when someone want to say high or take a photo.
God complex to the x.
Pay me $20 million a year, I’m part yours. It’s just the price you pay.
Don’t want the attention, quit. Don’t get in in the first place.
I don’t think I watched Scrubs more than a couple of times. It may have come on opposite something else, and I didn’t bother to record it.
NewFreep, I am very sorry to hear about your wife. Relationships are the most important thing in life. When you lose someone that close it will devastate you. Hope all is well with you.

Benson was good. Good, fun entertainment. Yep...
Can you image what the show would look like if they made it now?
Gays, dykes and total PC-ness.
D1...
Thanks for the kind words and asking how I’m doing.
My wife lost her battle at 28 in 1979 and, to be frank, it’s never been the same. Some days are really challenging and only my faith in God gets me through the day.
Add the damage from comrade obamatollah, the weight of hopelessness gets heavier each day. After so many years, I’m just really tired but will keep pushing on until that day of sunshine arrives.
Thanks again, D1 - it’s quite rare these daze anyone expresses any interest. Thanks!
After Frasier, tv comedies went all to hell. Most of my life from the 1950s on, I could always find a sitcom to make me laugh out loud. I did enjoy Everybody Loves Raymond which ended a couple of years after Frasier, but after that, nothing.
So I find myself watching those classic tv channels such as Me TV or TV Land or collecting shows on DVD. Someday, if I get around to investing in a device larger than my Smartphone, I'll get a subscription to Hulu or Amazon.
Television was described as a wasteland decades ago and I thought that notion was silly. Today, “wasteland” is an accurate description.
I have no idea of some of these sites have rights to these shows. There are also some movies and shows on Youtube if you look around.

Since I like some foreign (mostly Korean - have reasons!) shows I watch a lot of...

The problem is it usually takes a couple of seasons for a sitcom to find their audience and find their stride. The first episode of Seinfeld was a giant suckfest as well. I don't think it even airs in syndication.
Many of the sitcoms that enjoyed decade-long runs struggled at the beginning with changing timeslots and changing characters until things did start to gel after a couple of seasons or so. These days though, if something isn't a hit right out of the starting gate, it gets cancelled and never has an opportunity to grow and develop.
I never watched Scrubs (never heard of it, actually) until about the time it was over and in re-runs. But my son was a huge fan and got me started watching Scrubs re-runs. It was very funny and I thought well written.
Thats another one that, once it found its footing it ran on for a decade. All sort of under the radar.
Wow! Thank you for all of these resources. I will check them out.
No problem
I like “Seinfeld”. DJ is right though, the other cast members were key to it’s success. It never interested me (I saw it only 1 time while it was actually still running) but my brothers were such big fans they convinced me to watch it.
I’ve seen “Benson” on tvland or something, good show. So was “Soap”, the show it was spinned off from.
“Mulaney” looks like crap, though not as bad as “Partners” on FX, from the ads that looked like the worst show ever leading to a “what were the hell were they thinking?”. Grammar and Lawrence are better than that.
“Dads” on Fox I think it was, there was another show you could tell was rancid garbage just from the previews.
There are a lot more than just one I bet
It guess it’s hard to make a good sitcom these days.
Mediocre offerings from the past would stand out as superior to most of today’s shows.

America or Burst.
I could tell what she still means to you.
There are good days. There are bad days.
Here’s to that day when you meet again.
In at least one way, you are a very fortunate man.
I envy you that.
The mannerisms of the lead on “Everybody Loves Raymond”, proved to me the title was unfortunate. LOL
That guy gives me the hives. My son recommended it. It’s probably a good show. I just can’t get beyond the fact I can’t sit and watch that guy for more than thirty seconds.
I can identify with your assessment of television.
If it weren’t for Hulu and Netflix, I wouldn’t be watching any television. In truth there are a couple of shows I like. That’s about it.
Thanks Marron. I’ll keep that in mind. Who knows, I may wind up watching all the seasons at some point.
“Perfect Strangers” turned Khent gay.
Whether it’s TV or movies, it’s all pretty much been done. And the new stuff is mostly garbage because of that and the political/societal conditions of the day (PC-ness, buggery, AA, etc.).
