In #40 I used one anime as an example and thats a broad brush?
<><><><
I thought this statement of yours in post #39 was the broad brush: “They are all perverts over there as far as I am concerned, Tokyo could use a good mushroom cloud.”
oh, that. Wasn’t that a different post?
It was a euphamism, yeah, one of those
From Yahoo TV:
“...FX also tried a 10/90 sitcom starring George Lopez (Saint George) and another featuring Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence (Partners), but neither landed the full 100-episode slate. (FX Networks CEO John Landgraf says he “probably” won’t continue with the form.) Others remain in the works, however, including one starring Kevin James.”
A few months ago, I read an article about 50 tv shows being cancelled. I’m proud to say that I hadn’t seen any of them and never even heard of most.
And I do watch some broadcast TV. Closest I have to cable is Netflix.
I agree 101%. That show (Seinfeld) was completely unfunny.
SAM, great breakdown! Brilliant.
The show is more than anything an example of if something can go wrong it will and it does in spades for Walter White and everyone who comes into contact with him.
There is absolutely no glamorization of drugs and if anything this show makes one realize all of the other reasons they don’t traffic in drugs.
George Lopez is a cancer on the irma of comedy.
Kevin James is a zit, on the ass of comedy.
So Sheen’s wants back on “2 and half men”? LOL. He’s a herpes sore on comedy’s girlfriend.
“Anger Management was shot on an accelerated time frame, without table reads or rehearsals. That allowed producers to frequently shoot two episodes a week, getting to 100 episodes (enough for syndication) in half the time it normally takes. “
No one is gonna watch that crap in syndication. They’d be better off running “Perfect Strangers”.
Kevin James is GOP, so I’ll cut him some slack.
The Mexican gardener and Chazz E., OTOH, are ultra libs...f ‘em.
I watch ~4 minutes of 1 episode of “Anger Management”. That’s my assessment of that blather.
“They’d be better off running ‘Perfect Strangers’.” When you look at the other syndicated crap they do run on FXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, Perfect Strangers would represent an upgrade, yes.
I still don’t see the purpose of FXX...Fox doesn’t have enough quality shows for 2 networks (Fox and FX), let alone 3.
“Kevin James is GOP, so Ill cut him some slack.”
Is he? I didn’t know that.
Googling it I learn there was a gay RINO who ran for mayor of LA also named Kevin James, lol.
“Perfect Strangers”
America or Burst, just tell idiots it’s a “new” show and half of them will believe it.
“I still dont see the purpose of FXX”
Indeed, I thought ALL their comedies were going there, but they put all the new ones on FX.
“Is he? I didnt know that.”
I read it few back. He and Adam Sandler are Republicans. “King of Queens” is ok, better than any of the other crap we’ve discussed.
“America or Burst, just tell idiots its a new show and half of them will believe it.”
No sh*t, right?!?! Actually, “The Bronson Pinchot Project” on HGTV/DIY was pretty good. The other guy, not Balki, no idea where he is.
“Indeed, I thought ALL their comedies were going there, but they put all the new ones on FX.”
What Fox should have done is combine FXX and Fox1; have sports AND comedies on the same network. The crossover viewership is pretty much built in. I never even think to look for Fox1 and I only know FXX because of “Sunny” and “The League”, which would be the perfect “sports-to-comedies” crossover show. And the programs would be somewhat better in quality. Look at what’s on FXX during the day...20+ year old crap that was crap 20+ years ago. Sad.
American TV has degenerated to a low point in entertainment, if it can be so labeled. I think if you could edit out the laugh tracks they play after every one liner most shows would never draw a smile.
One night out of curiosity my wife and I decided to watch "Hot Cleveland".It was painfully crude and embarrassing with an over the hill Betty White cracking gutter level sex jokes and failing at every attempted laugh line. Later we found out it has been on for years.
Who on earth watches this crap?
I don’t know who, but it is troublesome that anyone does.
As for Betty White, I’ve noticed that about her. It’s so undignified for her to engage in that.
I wonder if she realizes she is being exploited.
The seem to think it’s funny to see what they can get the old lady to say next.
