I remember when T-Mobile pushed an OS upgrade to my Mytouch Fender android. Made it so slow as to be unusable. My wife had the same phone. It slowed hers down but it was still usable. But I was forced to use an old NOS flip phone I had until I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S. That was almost four years ago. I still use the Galaxy S...

I went and purchased the iPad Air, smoothly transferred everything over, cleared my iPad II and sold it on Craig’s List.

I never used Craig’s list before. The entire process from reading how to post on Craig’s List until I had cash in my hand was 4 hours. It very easy to do.

Caution is needed for some items on Craigslist. Many times a computer, tablet, phone etc will be advertised; then when the potential customer shows up with a couple of friends they pull a gun or they strong arm and take the item from the seller.

That is what I do every time a new iPad comes out. I didnt purchase the iPad Air but I will be purchasing the iPad Air 2 when it comes out. Will put my iPad 4 on Craigslist..just always be aware of the emails from craigslist crooks who say they will give you more than you ask for if you ship it to another state or country. I can smell the frauds a mile away I just delete them. I always say I want cash and to meet in person that is the only way I sell anything

Yeah I tool all their advice. I will list here for you.

1) I met up in a public place. It was a coffee shop I designated. I did not let the buyer pick where we meet up.

2) Cash only, no checks (too many fake checks today), and no I was not going to mail it.

3) You get the product AS IS. My iPad was in excellent condition and looked just like the day I purchased it.

I have an iPad Air and have a notice for a software update. I did that on my iPhone and lost my wi-fi ability. Ha s there been any reports of losing any capabilities when updating an iPad Ai? Currently, I am running IOS 7.0.4.

I’m down from 2 hours remaining the 45 minutes. Must have a slow/overloaded server as I get good internet and WiFi speeds.

“from 2 hours remaining the 45 minutes”

“to”, not “the”. Stupid cold.

No ... you don't. I saw a headline this morning on Yahoo warning owners of 4 and previous versions NOT to upgrade to iOS8.

Thank you for the advice, I won’t upgrade, and I’m happy about it.

I’ll get a new phone in 6 months (March) when my contract runs out, and use my 4 as a iPod.
