Back in the late 1940s, the vet in the small town where my wife was born did deliveries when the doc wasn’t available; and the doc would patch up critters when the vet wasn’t available. Nobody worried about it a bit.

Friend of mine stiches up his own kids and has done the same for a number of the neighbor kids. Antibiotics are antibiotics and generally the animal versions are cheaper.

They're also often easier to get without a scrip, making it cheaper yet. That's why I've bought & used them for decades.

The funny thing about the show is that it is so politically incorrect that it could not be made in the U.S. but yet the Canadians made it. Go figure.

About 60 years ago when I was maybe 7 or younger, we were on a family driving trip out of town, and one of the parents accidentally shut a rear car door on all of my fingers.

I must have squalled a lot because they drove around looking for some aid, and ended up at a veterinarian's place......I don't remember any other details, but will assume that he was able to determine that nothing was broken.

My doc gave me Tramadol once a day for arthritis and it didn’t do anything. A few years ago my vet gave my dog the same strength Tramadol for an injury.

My dosage was 1 per day and my dog’s was 1/2 per day. I weighed about 165lb at the time and he weighed 10lb.

No wonder the far under prescribed dosage didn’t do a damned thing. After that when the pain was bad I took eight at a time and actually got some relief.

I would trust a vet over a dr any day.
