“That cloud. It has a strange wriggling motion. And it has a mouth!”
The giant Blgthrgth turned, shrieked, and proceeded to dive at them.

I’m doing nothing. I was going to go to Busdaddy’s but I don’t feel like driving, and I have no food to eat when I get there.

Speaking of which, I need to find something to still the pangs.... The feeling I thought of as hunger is nothing less than low blood sugar: FEED ME, Seymour!

Man, I HATE when that happens! My mother called it a “hitch in my get-along.”

My ribs are still a little tender, so I’m still eating Ibuprofen, and I’m nearly out of it. Dang.

Today is the first day I haven’t bound my foot, but I now have a half-inch high bump on the bone of the second toe. I see the podiatrist next month, so he can tell me what it is.

The protocol on the x-ray said my foot was “normal.” No fractures. If there was no fracture, why do I have the bump? Grrrrrr....

Maybe bumps are normal. I took some Aleve, and the hip will give up hurting when it does.

I’m out of fake sugar. I can pick some up when I go to church for another meeting tonight.

That game was impossibly difficult.
I had it for the Commodore 64.
For whatever reason, equipment malfunctions were set to “right about now” every time.
Must have stopped for repairs four times in one play through for the same thing, never left the “base” at all.

“Run for it!” they tried, they really did.
But the giant wriggling towel like creature was fast.
Too fast.
It landed, did the same curious dust bath motions that sparrows do upon landing, and took off again after having flattened several square yards of prime real estate.

I only know bumps are “normal” when something has been broken and not set properly. All I can attribute the “no fracture” diagnosis to is the healing power of CoQ10 and colloidial silver. As well as some of the other herbs I take.

As I said, I will talk to the podiatrist next month.

I wish I could take Aleve. That stuff makes me faint within 20 minutes.

We were never able to get a computer of any kind when I was married to Igor. He let money slip through his fingers like water.

I’m sure that game must have been a challenge in more ways than one.

I haven’t fainted, but my hip still hurts. Pat wants to do math now, and I have to nurture Kathleen, and then Sally has another doctor appointment. Unnngh.

I take double the dose for Ibuprofen because the doctors won’t give me anything stronger. They are punishing me for “non-compliance.” I told them I didn’t want any more unnecessary tests and I guess it miffed them off.

Dr. Whosis Iraqi had no less than five ordered for me, and none of them were for a problem I had. I’m just not going to let them bully me into spending my gas and money running to tests where I have as much as a $50 co-pay.

Dr. Whosis Iraqi isn’t even my doctor. He just filled in for my doctor while she was on maternity leave. She’s back now.... YAY!!

Maybe your real doctor will give you a working painkiller.

Distinguished, white-haired Dr. Hall doesn’t like to order tests. Maybe I can talk him into a blood workup on Sally.

I think the tests are mandatory per the HMO. At least, for the doctors to order. I suspect if I refuse to many of them they may refuse to treat me.

But if I don’t need it, I don’t want it.

It tried your patience in more ways than one.
And the worst offenders of the era were games that couldn’t be won, or had no end.

I have a game of Pyramid Solitaire on my Nook, and it offers “open” and “closed” games. I have never ever won the open game, out of over 4,000 tries and have won 16 closed games out of 2,020.

I have no idea why the closed game is “easier” to win.

Have just finished Polishing the edges on a Retirement Gift for one of our Gaffers.
A piece of Equipment he created in the early Eighties ,now set in water clear resin. (4 inches dia, 9 inches tall)
It has taken two weeks to drown the thing, a layer at a time.
Amazing what you can find in the back of the stores when ideas are short.
The night shift is coming in with the Brass engraved plaque and caved Plinth.
The Blue LEDs set in the bottom really set it off, illuminating their captive audience.
