It keeps getting them votes, but the outcome remains the same... a liberal in power.
The real outcome of republicans holding their noses and voting for Romney (or anyone) is that the Rats win, and the liberal republicans feel free to try again.

Much of the blame for all this lies with uninformed Republican primary voters who are just more “democratic” than they are “republican”.
I think that people who attack others because they want to vote for a conservative, and decline to vote for a liberal are useful idiots also.
Instead of arguing and blaming other conservatives, and calling them names, they should be coming up with strategies to insure that a conservative gets the nomination, so that the people who stayed home will be happy to turn out.
Fact of the matter is that the conservatives just don't get together behind one candidate, the field is fractured between a handful and so the liberal Rockefeller wing of the party waltzes off with the nomination.
The only way that changes is if conservatives get out there and run for precinct chair. It only costs about 10 bucks to register. About half of the precincts during 2012 didn't even have anyone run in the primaries.
The elected precinct chairpersons get to vote on party leadership. That's the way to change the party.
Between the money men/kingmakers and the National Media together with the liberals in both parties, the USA is going to hell in a hand-basket. It's just going faster with Barry O.
I am not a member of either party at this point. I am an independent, because neither party supports the Constitutional Republic adequately. I vote for the man not the party.
Do I sometimes vote for the lesser evil? Yes. I have a duty to vote, but I can also write in any name that I think would be better, and sometimes I do that.
I avoid the label conservative. Who the heck wants to conserve what we have become as of today? Instead I think of myself as “classical liberal”. Liberal used to stand for one who loves liberty. The founders were liberals such as this.
The nasty commie, progressives stole the word liberal, and stuck us with the name conservative. Anyone who loves freedoms and supports the Constitution, is so much more than that.

Second, the only way a RINO gets nominated again in 2016 is if only one RINO is running against several conservatives. That is how Romney won in 2012.
It is extremely critical for only one conservative to remain in the nomination race 2 months before convention.
If you don't consider that an attack on "principled conservatives", you don't live in the same world I do.

1 RINO against several conservatives is the only path of victory for the RINO. If either Newt or Santorum had dropped out 2 months before convention, Romney was toast.
I am having nightmares about 2016 that it will Jeb versus Cruz+Perry+Pence+Jindal+Walker. Without unity conservatives will be screwed again.

I stand by my opinion that Obama is the worst of the worst presidents ever. Those who abstained helped elect Obama.
Obama is 100% for abortion on demand.
Obama will appoint 100% pro-abortion justices & judges.
Obama is 100% for socialized medicine.
Obama is 100% for taxing those who work hard and reward those who do not work hard in the name of “social justice”.
Obama hates military in general.
Obama policies are creating more terrorists every day.
Putin is making a joke out of Obama and then of America by default.
Again, what I want is unity in the primaries. Only 1 conservative candidate versus RINO’s. No repeat of Rick & Newt bludgeoning each other and clearing the path for Mitt.
