My family split half and half when my Grandmother was dying. I just sat with her and prayed that His will be done. The doctor stepped in and said her kidneys are failing. She passed on. I am thankful for that doctor. What good is life when they live with illness and pain. I wouldn’t want that for myself and I surely didn’t want that for her. Ever since she got a pacemaker, it was downhill from there. Her vibrant personality would have never wanted that life.

I’m not sure what to make of this, the procedure is nothing major, I’ve had it done. From all reports she was fine & had been working all week, on several shows, taping etc. After Briebart, nothing would surprise me, plus there’s a long list of strange deaths associated with this president.

Andrews death wasn’t creepy to anyone who knew him. He was under incredible stress, had a history of heart disease and didn’t do much to remedy any of it. He was a big husky guy with alot on his shoulders...there was no conspiracy there.

RIP AB

“I’m not sure what to make of this, the procedure is nothing major,”

I’m the same age as Joan-——and in the past year or so everything changed.

Nothing is simple anymore,nothing.

I don’t think it’s suspicious.

I think the place that did her procedure just f-ed up. This probably shouldn’t have happened.

At 81, every procedure is major. Actually, these days you can't have anything done without the doctor giving you some consent form or forms to sign. Many of us sign without reading, but these forms do indicate that there are risks and anything can happen. I know someone who has to sign a consent form for a routine cleaning by her dentist.

Cardiac arrest can happen at any age, even if you're not having a medical procedure. There was a teenager locally who recently collapsed during football practice. Cardiac arrest. An autopsy revealed some sort of pre-existing heart problem which no one knew about. Often people have heart disease with no symptoms. Or they may know they have heart problems, but they don't want everyone else to know.

Much as I don't trust the thugs in the White House, I don't see anything suspicious about Ms. Rivers’ condition or Mr. Breitbart’s death.

You are medically incorrect. Babies in the NICU for example are frequently on ventilation support and are very much alive and indeed are weaned off of ventilation to go home with their families to lead full and normal lives.

Many people who are ventilated recover. Brain death and cardiovascular status are much better prognostic indicators, and even then there are people who inexplicably recover. It is a very dangerous thing to judge the quality of another human being’s life.

She, apparently, had a massive heart attack, right? These things do happen. And they do happen during medical procedures - including dentistry - maybe that in particular. The only difference with Breitbart is that he had just eaten a meal cooked by Bill Ayers the week before or several days before, lol. And he collapsed in the street at 41.

No one needs to write me about Breitbart. It’s almost certain he died of natural causes. The timing was just awful.

I’m praying for her, but I’ll tell you what if she DOES make it it’s going to make for great comedic fare.

Knowing that, I will not hesitate to do it if the decision is ever asked of me.

...I consider myself blessed that I never had to make that decision...death came for my parents in their beds at home, each knowing full well what was happening, and cognizant up to almost the very end...

Sources have told The News that Rivers would not want to live unless she could enjoy “a full and active life.

One can only hope she left a directive.

Sources told the Daily News that Rivers’ daughter, Melissa, is “in denial” over her mother’s condition

Maybe, maybe not. Or maybe she needs time to take it all in.

Sources have told The News that Rivers would not want to live unless she could enjoy “a full and active life....(She) would never want to be a burden on anyone.”

These "sources" can think whatever they want. It is their opinion and they very well may be correct. But the bottom line is the decision is Melissa's. One would think these sources would keep their mouths shut because Melissa has a lot on her plate right now.

I would never presume to second guess the tough decisions made by families in this circumstance.

Docs in the hospital are all shaking their heads wondering how she held on for three weeks.

They should have asked the nurses. :) Patients often choose the moment they let go. I have seen it over & over again. Your friend's mother wanted pastor Tim to do the funeral and she was not leaving this world until she knew he was back in town.

I agree 150%. Those “sources” aren’t helping.

If this is her time she’ll be going out with attention-getting statements she can truly be remembered and honored by (pro-Israel, anti Muslim, anti-Obama), not the crude, inappropriate “jokes” she was typically noted for.

Hang tough Joan, don’t give this regime an excuse to smile much less celebrate.
