Why would anyone wear a black or dark blue suit under these conditions???
Because you are president of the united states and fashion wise, Dark suits and plain ties are typical of what is considered "power suits", and the expected attire of anyone in the position as this current leader of the world.
Taking your question to the extreme, would you feel ok with B. Hussein had he worn shorts and a Hawaiian floral shirt when he gave this press conference?
Of course you wouldn't..............there is a time and a place for certain presidential attire, but anything other than a dark suit and tie when presented to the cameras of the U.S. and the world is a disgrace to the office.........

What am I trying to do? Whatever it is that i am trying to do i am not trying hard i can assure you.
I have plenty of reasons to dislike Obummer. I am just thrilled he didn’t show up in a skirt.

A brown suit was not a non-power suit in the day.
A tan or even white suit in the right place back in the day was very much a power suit. A black suit would have been absurd for anything but a funeral.
Its that in this age we aren’t used to it. I suspect the problem is the domination of the Northeast media has twisted expectations to what is typical in their parts.
Its time for Southern pride, including the color of suits.

Other than Obama, show me one photo of any republican president addressing either the press corps or the nation in anything other than a dark (POWER) suit.........

"Am I the only women who finds ANY man in a suit attractive? (Beige, tan, charcoal, dark blue, black, seersucker... its all wonderful.)" I like a black suit with a beautiful colored tie. But personally, I prefer seeing a man in more rugged clothing.
