Did anyone else notice that natty, cream-colored suit? It made me think of the tropics, of a vacation in Panama. Barack, the girl from Ipanema. I don't believe I have ever seen another president dressed in that manner, like a soot suit, or something from the seventies...
Well, he did just get back from Marthas Vineyard, so he may have picked up some style clues. Michelle on the other hand..
When I saw obama were this beige suit, I immediately though he is getting us used to him donning a military uniform, like other despots done throughout history.

Bozo was wearing a doo rag on his head after a gym visit in 2008 when he was 1st elected. Looked like a thug. So who gives a rats fart what he wears. He certainly doesn’t.
My impression: he was letting the American people know he was still in vacation mode.

Nothing wrong with the suit, just hasn’t been in fashion for a while. Why that is I don’t know. I suspect its the northeast establishment (New York) despising southerners, or something like that.
Washington is a southern city and a tropical climate in summer.
The guy in the suit is another matter.

Well, I did post it in Vanity. And, yes, a president’s clothing is part of his demeanor, part of the gravitas of the job. And every time I see the photo with that cream-colored suit, not really tan but lighter, it is jarring. Men’s clothing is more conservative, and it’s like he’s showing off and not taking what he is talking about seriously.

Reminds me of the horror when my buttoned down husband bought a leisure suit in the 70s. He got furious when we all laughed.
