I agree with Firefly. It should have run a much longer time. I watched Heroes for a few years, but it became unwatchable. I didn't watch the others.

Twin Peaks went off the rail halfway through its first season. The first few weeks were good, but then they ran out of ideas. No way this show could have gone on forever.

That’s another show I watched for a long time and then just lost interest.

I dumped TV in 1997. Then I was on a business trip with satellite radio and heard a theme song to a movie, Serenity, where a girl says, “we meddle...”. The political ramifications were so powerful that I went to Blockbuster to rent the movie.

The clerk was a huge fan and said we needed to watch at least one episode of the TV show “Firefly” first to understand the characters. So I rented a first season disk.

I then bought the series and have watched it many times. The characters are outstanding - and one of the most powerful moments I’ve ever seen in any TV series is in one of those episodes. It is a truly amazing show. And the movie really tied it up with a bow.

Yep. I had TV at the time and even visited the town it’s based on. But it got weird(er).

As a kid at the time I LOVED that show. I remember him blowing up the worlds greatest computer with a simple question: Why?

Nice to see Pushing Daisies on the list, Bryan Fuller(also of Firefly) had another great, short lived show with Lee Pace called Wonder Falls, that deserved more attention.
