MANHATTAN (CN) - A contestant on "Dating Naked" claims in court that despite Viacom's promise that frontal and genital nudity would be blurred on the show, she was "shocked, horrified and outraged" to see that "her vagina and anus ... were fully exposed to all viewers" as she wrestled with her date.
Jessie Nizewitz sued Viacom, Firelight International, and Lighthearted Entertainment on Wednesday, in New York County Supreme Court.
Nizewitz, 28, claims that in March she submitted an application to audition for a then-untitled "reality dating television show."
She had a Skype interview with casting agents that month, in which she was informed "that the television show would be a nude dating show; however, she was promised that all frontal and genital nudity would be blurred out when broadcast," Nizewitz says in the lawsuit.
She claims that the defendants hired her in April, and filmed her for the VH1 show in May.
"During filming, plaintiff was strongly encouraged by Defendants to perform a wrestling takedown on her date, which, after some convincing and further assurances that all frontal and genital nudity would be blurred out when broadcast, plaintiff agreed to perform," Nizewitz says in the complaint.
It continues: "On July 31, 2014, the third episode of 'Dating Naked,' in which plaintiff appears as a contestant, was broadcast on VH1.
"The episode, as broadcast, shows plaintiff's wrestling takedown of her date, but defendants did not blur out her vagina and anus, which were fully exposed to all viewers.
"Plaintiff, who was watching the initial showing, was shocked, horrified, and outraged to observe this intrusion into her privacy for all to see.
"Immediately, plaintiff became subject to ridicule by those watching."
She claims that clips from the show have been posted on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr.
She seeks an injunction, takedown, and punitive damages of more than $10 million for breach of oral contract, privacy invasion, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and gross negligence.
She is represented by Matthew Blitt, with Levine and Blitt.
Once again, I’m so glad I don’t have cable/satellite TV and subsidize this crap .......
Sounds like a great spinoff show.
"Suing Naked"
But, I bet she's REAL cute and REAL nice and the guys would just LOOVE her, especially now that her PRIVATES have been aired over the entire planet. :o)
It wasn’t much to look at. I would judge the producers guilty and award damages of $1.
Ironic that Viacom is on the receiving end of a of a ‘naked’ suit.
Wasn’t it the head of Viacom, Sumner Redstone, who was naked and hanging onto a ledge of a Boston hotel when it caught on fire. His wife saw him (and his naked girlfriend) on television or was it the front page of the Boston newspaper and divorce proceedings soon followed.
Sounds like she is just quibbling over the number of people who saw her naked.
Ah, the wore is also a money whore.
Sheesh! It was a NUDE dating reality TV program. What did she really expect? An exercise to extend her artistic craft?
Get over it.
Well I ain’t too good with all them there medical terms of yers... but I can tell ya this... No pussy is worth 10 million dollars.
I sometimes think things like this happen just so we can have fun:
Presenting ‘Exhibit A’ should be interesting.
If she wins, can they pay her with blurred out money?
If she wins but gets a lesser amount, will they call it a split decision?
(They just write themselves, honestly!)
As you say, everybody has an anus. However, some people have two. (Politicians, the second one is usually where their speeches come out)
Vaginas are internal, anis easier to see I suppose.
not a dime....if she was stupid enough to sign on to a show like that, she deserves exactly what she got.
she was a nitwit twice!!!
I got carried away.
I think you are correct.
Guess she negotiated at $1,000,000 per eyeball.
