Peter Capaldi, in one scene, kept saying he's seen that face before.

It turns out that Peter Capaldi played a Roman Centurian in a David Tennant episode called "The Fires of Pompeii." It will be interesting to see if they take the series there.

I thought Matt Smith was a great humorous-tilting Doctor

I think they were going to spin-off those alien lesbians or something but hope it went nowhere

One of the “issues” was that Clara was used to flirting with the Matt Smith Doctor and considering herself to be his girlfriend. The much older Capaldi (he’s 56, she’s 26) produces an “ick” factor.

Then again, nobody had a problem with 31 year old Matt Smith Doctor being married to River Song, played by 50 year old Alex Kingston.

I guess older man/younger woman produces issues with the feminists.

They have spend a noticeable amount of time in that location and built a story around the 3 characters more than usual. That is usually a precursor to a spin off like Torchwood. I made it about a season and a half before I stopped. Not my cup of tea.

I tried to watch Torchwood once. ONCE.

They unfroze some guy from the past and immediately one of the girls decides to sleep with him.
