Just asking. I am not sure if we can pick up the pieces and reconstitute a successful, prosperous country after the last 5+ years.
I just hoped to find answers to what we can do at this point. I do not see a way out and hoped to see one from someone else’s point of view.
I tend to agree. Most the major "institutions" are solid liberal (judges, lawyers, media, academia,medical, many churches, senior military officers, and now 1%-ers).
I’ve come to think of Obama more as a ‘symptom’ of an America that is basically in sharp moral and cultural decay, entering into a death-spiral.
When I see America adopting such abject depravity as homo-marriage, I truly no longer have any hopes of America being salvaged. Nor would I particularly be inclined to lift a finger for such a country that has embraced such evil. I see America more and more as the opposite of everything it once was and once stood for. Everything once considered decent and virtuous is maligned and attacked, and everything once considered vile and debased is celebrated.
No, I don’t think America survives Obama. Not really sure how things will eventually shake out, though.
I do believe that the Leftists in charge are sure that they can break down our morality. I also believe they think, if they can bring America down to it’s baser needs without emotion, they can create the European culture. No God, no care for fellow man, no conscience. Can we reverse the tide? I pray so.
Then you look around at what you can do besides whining.
Me, I worked with the grandkids on the Greek alphabet today.
That's right, American kids learning the Greek alphabet, just like the good old days of the Founding.
It takes getting off one's fundament, and doing some actual work. I had to make flash cards and everything.
That's the kind of stuff you can do.
And turn off the damn TV. It's not helping your negativity. Or teaching the grandkids anything you want them to learn.

I think we probably can survive obama, but a democracy is only as good as its people, so what we probably can’t suvriver is the idiots who elected this moron, twice.
Agree. He’s a symptom of the decline, especially the re-election. Who would vote for Jimmy Carter twice?
He’s symptomatic that the 100,000,000 in the handout lines have no problem staying there. For all the b.s. talk, Obama is the great divider. Promise gays this, blacks that, Hispanics etc.
Declining marriage rates and rising bastard percentages means more single women and fatherless kids will be easy targets for leftists.
America seems set for a decline based on demographics, immorality, and elites controlling politics. All of the top conservative voices end up being bought off (Cantor, Rubio, now Ryan).
I at first thought Obama was the affirmative-action president. Give a black guy the job so all racism claims will end forever and move on. Who cares if he’s not qualified?
I now realize Obama is more symptomatic of a post 9/11 Stockholm Syndrome. Vote for the guy named Hussein and the Muslims will finally leave us alone.

Of course it can. The question is can the USA survive the media that tries to convince us he is competent.I think we're getting there.
We also have an increase in the lack of civility. I’m sure we can all cite personal experiences. Within the last week, I was in a supermarket and saw an elderly man whose hands were shaking, obviously a frail person. He had two items (milk and bread) and he wanted to put them on the checkout belt. The 30-something woman in front of him was yapping on her cell phone. Self-absorbed and totally oblivious. He asked her twice while holding a basket with the two items. She didn’t move her items (someone was ahead of her), initially not paying attention but then showed a mild form of disgust as she turned to look at him. I helped him put the items on the belt while giving her a nasty stare. Sadly, I am seeing more of this lack of civility. This isn’t the America we envision. I know there is good in the nation, plenty of it, but the ignorance is spreading and growing.
I believe he is incompetent. The Media just keeps covering for him.

I have the same situation with my women friends. Sometimes you just can’t fix stupid.
There are lots of options. Whining doesn't get you anything.
I've pulled some long hours in the last few weeks myself. Life could be better.
Find something creative to do instead of a whining vanity about 'all is lost'.
Defeatists are starting to torque me.

America as such may not survive as it is, but the Human Spirit will pursue Liberty and Freedom. We have proven that a moral and God-fearing people can excel and do anything that is humanly possible. We have shown the way to happiness and prosperity. Our mission now is to jettison those that wish to leech off the fruits of other’s labors.
It will get ugly. It will get violent. Only those of truly strong beliefs will be willing to fight the fight. Persevere and the Nation that God envisioned will rise from the ashes of depravity. It CAN be done, it WILL be done, and it SHOULD be done. There is no question. The Nation of Freedom and Liberty cannot be killed.
