Wednesday afternoon, Antonio was found in the backyard of a house in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side, shot in the chest, hands and arms. He died an hour later at Comer Children's Hospital, where his cousins were at a loss to explain why anyone would want to gun down the third-grader.

Yes. Crime causes poverty more than poverty causes crime, in the United States.
These neighborhoods could not sustain their criminality without massive influx of welfare dollars. They would die of starvation otherwise.

He could have said or done something crude or disrespectful to a girl whose brother or boyfriend came after him.
Or he could have refused to be a runner for a local gang.
Or his sister could have refused the attentions of a gangster.

The left is disgusting. There are no political points to be made from this boy’s death. It can’t be used to gin up White Guilt. It will not provide an argument for hiring unqualified police officers solely to fulfill a quota. It won’t get people out to vote democrat. It won’t get people to donate to democrats.
The boy is just another victim, sacrificed on the altar of political correctness.
The other day I was watching the local news and they described a crime in which two men were robbed, knocked down, and their car was stolen. The announcer said that anyone with information should call police, but gave no description of the suspects or the vehicle. I would bet the ranch that the suspects are black.

Innocent kid was hit multiple times, not bad aim, was an intention shooting of a nine year old. Where should the New Crusade start, here or the Middle East?

This indicates that it was an intentional, instead of accidental homicide. It also sounds “stylized” like a gang killing, following some ritual.

Maybe it was part of getting jumped in to a local gang, a requirement to shoot or kill a kid. I recall the time a CA wannabe gang member, 16-years-old, wanted to prove himself worthy of gang membership. He ambushed and killed a CHP officer who had arrived at a courthouse to testify in an unrelated matter, apparently the first “cop” he could find to kill.
