I have a stupid Computer Question:

Posted on 08/16/2014 6:16:56 PM PDT by Vinylly

It used to be that when I misspell a word, if it's mispelled it is underlined in red. This doen't happen anymore. How do I reactivate this spell checker feature? I'm cumputer illiterate so you will have to give to me slow. Somebody said it's in the toolbar, but what and where is the toolbar? Somebody else said look for the Microsoft symbol on the screen, I don't see that either. There is suppose to be a symbol of a wrench, which I can't find. I couldn't find anything about the toolbar in the minus. I'm using a Dell laptop computer. Thank for any useful help.

There’s like 300 million women in India, and Laz is only about 40% of the way through the list.

It's set to manual. You will need to use a red sharpe and add your own squiggly red line underneath all misspelled words.

You will also need a dictionary.

We are surely creatures of habit.

Or something.

I actually looked down at my keyboard for the "any" key.

This...from someone that started on a Wang...way back when.

And if you know what a Wang is, then you know how long I'm talking about.

You can work on your Wang on your own time, just wash your hands before returning to work. Yes, I know what a Wang is, started on one myself! ;)

Well anyway, I saw Bob Dylan in concert a short while ago. Now many may think he's been washed up for years but I'm here to tell you it just isn't so.

Dylan tore through a significant chuck of his oeuvre with the energy and enthusiasm of a man 40 years his junior.

When the sing-a-long "Hurricane" was played, Dylan was bouncing about the stage like 1975-era Mick Jagger. He and his band them ripped into a frenetic version of "Tangled Up In Blue" that left the audience breathless.

Bob Dylan - yes, that Bob Dylan - was literally turning cartwheels upon the stage during his electrifying performance of "Tell Me, Momma" like he was one of the Blues Brothers. The crowd went absolutely nuts.

At the end of his concert, he then took his electric guitar and smashed it into smithereens like he was in The Clash circa 1977.

After a 10-minute standing ovation, Dylan did, as an encore, a 40-minute mostly acoustic session that included "Simple Twist Of Fate", "Stuck Inside Of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again", "The Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll" and "Sad Eyed Lady Of the Lowlands."

When he finally bounded off the stage - and I do say BOUNDED - we erupted into a standing ovation that lasted nearly two hours. Around 1am, we stumbled into the darkness outside knowing that even if we were all struck dead by lightning, at least we have had seen Dylan at his very best.

I know what you are saying. Chrome my main browser doesn’t spell check anymore in a lot of Internet forms.

It does work on Jim’s forms here on FR however thank goodness.

Zotero, my reference tool also doesn’t drag and drop into these same updated web forms as well. Now I have to drop the reference into a word document and copy and paste it from there.

I’ve chalked it up to HTML 5 compatibility issues, but it does make writing quite a bit of extra work.
