Best commercial(s) of all time?

Posted on 08/09/2014 7:52:03 PM PDT by MNDude

We all see tens of thousands of commercials in our lifetime, but there's probably a few that really standout... Where's The Beef?, Apple's 1984, Mikey likes Life cereal, etc. What's your favorite commercial(s) of all time.

I’d love that first commercial to happen here in my small city...

Seven Seas Dressing: "Who made the salad?"

When we were kids that was our code phrase for "Who farted?"

Banana flavored Maypo.

Alas, the commercial cannot be found.

The Bananaman lives on, however, thanks to the Captain.

Oscar Mayer probably had the two most memorable commercial songs of all time, along with the B.O.L.O.G.N.A song, the “Oh, I wish I was an Oscar Mayer weiner”.

The modern one I find hilarious lately is the Geico “words can actually hurt you” ad.

I was always partial to those Wrigley's gum ads with Tricia and Cyb Barnstable (the "Doublemint Twins"). Heck, I still buy the occasional pack of Doublemint due to my lingering appreciation for that ad campaign. ;-)

And then there are the ads that stick in your head out of sheer silliness, like this one:

Lots of good ones mentioned.

The SmartBeep Blind Date commercial always makes the lists:

I grew to like the Budweiser “Whassup” commercials. The folks at work had a lot of fun with them. One of my favs was the Wasabi version:

I believe the following is the best, all-time commercial.
